International Bucharest City Centre Hotel Reviews

The hotel is located close to the center of Bucharest, in a calm and safe area, in around 10 mins walking to the closest metro line. The bus which goes directly to the airport stops nearby as well. Close to the hotel is located a Carrefour supermarket and several restaurants + an embankment full with bars. The staff is super friendly, helpful and speaking good English. The rooms are spacious and clean, with new quit AC and everyday the housekeeping is leaving new towels, tea, shampoos. There're two lifts, a restaurant where the breakfast is served and also a viewpoint. The breakfast is delicious and diverse, but it's the same every day. Several kinds of sausages, omelette, coffee, juices, croissants, jams, cornflakes, etc. Definitely recommend if you're on a business trip.

Except for the outdated facilities, everything else is good

The breakfast menu was average and it was nice to be able to check in early. The security near the hotel is not so good and there is a city 15 minutes away.

Location: a 15 walk into Old Town or a shirt taxi ride (depending on the traffic). No real amenities in the vicinity. Food: breakfast is pretty standard continental Rooms: spacious with plenty of storage Decor: lots of dark wood in restaurant and reception area. Ambience: a bit lacking

Rude staff. I ask for an extra towel. They provide only 1. The lady from the recipetion told me that the found only 1 towel. There were 2 towels for sure. I ask to speak with the manger. 17:30 it's too late. Speak with him tomorrow. I ask for towel with deposit till tomorrow- no. It's your problem.

The bed sheets were never changed in the seven days we stayed in. We knew this because accidentally we stained a pillowcase, and the same pillowcase was still there throughout our stay. Several times I had to go to the reception to ask for coffee sachets, which were supposed to be replenished every day. Once I even had to ask for toilet paper. One day, the cleaners didn't do our room, and they claimed that I switched on the 'non-disturb'. This was not true, not even accidentally, because this is a manual switch (as in the photo provided) and can only be reset from inside of the room. The switch was still off when I entered the room in the evening. At the breakfast restaurant, we noticed that not every guest is treated the same. When we asked for something that was not available in the breakfast table, our request was turned down, but not the same when a man wearing a suite and a tie asked for something similar. We felt that guests are treated according to whom they are. I noticed another Italian couple who shared the same opinion as us.

Firstly this is not a 4* hotel. This is probably a 2 or 3 at a push. I booked this for 7 nights through ******* for a executive double with city view (if you’re going to book this hotel, book though them as you’re protected. First day I checked in to the hotel, thought it was weird that our room was on the 5th floor, strange for a city view. I get up to the room and the key doesn’t work for the room. Back down the lift and already 3 people waiting with the same issue. Get back up to my room again, enter and looks like something from the early 2000s, marked walls and furniture. Also this is a standard room with no bath unlike the booking suggested. Went back downstairs and the receptionist said this was a executive room. Yeah ok, thought I’d let it slide and just make the most it it. Went out through the day, came back and thought I’d see what the restaurant was like. Restaurant was open from 7-10pm. Half 8 and it was closed, In fact, this wasn’t even open the whole evening. Asked for some water and they couldn’t give me it. Used the water in the mini fridge. Day 2 key didn’t work again, mini fridge wasn’t re stocked and bar and restaurant shut again. No water supplied, already eaten out so didn’t need the food. Day 3 key didn’t work again, mini fridge wasn’t restocked, just to add, air con is also absolutely crap. Restaurant was open but not for food, got some nice wine. Had already got water today from the shop so didn’t need that. Day 4 key didn’t work again, mini fridge hasn’t restocked again, after a long day out, walking 12 miles in total around, all I needed was a nice glass of wine and some water. RESTAURANT CLOSED! they wouldn’t even get us a glass of water or fill up the damn mini fridge. This was it, I contacted ******* and explained the situation, they spoke to reception once and were advised to call back Monday, called again and was told they couldn’t supply us with our room as the floor was taken for a party. They basically downgraded us to make room for a party and didn’t think to tell us, rather just lie. 3 days left so left the hotel and went to the crown plaza, a real 4* hotel. I sit here with a glass of wine writing this review,l. Hotel is not very well ran, it’s on its way out, please don’t stay here unless you’re happy with a bed and breakfast with a crappy night sleep Avoid like the plague. Ps before I leave breakfast was reliable, basic as anything but it was always open.

Well located hotel, in a quiet area of ​​the city, away from the chaos but still close to the ethical center which is about 10 minutes away on foot. Very large structure, reminiscent of the splendor of the 80s but in any case welcoming. The whole structure and the rooms are very quiet and peaceful. The room was really very large. The bed is large and very comfortable; the bathroom is also very spacious. The cleanliness of the room was good, they always came to clean and redo the room. The breakfast wasn't super plentiful but was still well stocked.

I stayed for three nights in this facility with a friend of mine, I'll start by saying that it is absolutely not a 4-star facility, maybe 3, very large room with outdated furnishings, good cleaning only as soon as you arrive since after the first night there was no room. redone the room. Having mentioned this at the reception we were told that having had so many rooms leaving in the morning they had not had time to make the room. I have never heard this ridiculous response, not even in the worst tavern, there is no way that the rooms are not redone in a supposedly 4-star hotel. But it didn't end there because the next day they came to let's say redo the room but they only pulled up the duvet from the first bed, the second one is unknown why it wasn't made and the towels were changed, the bathroom was left dirty, the sink and bathroom fixtures not cleaned and trash not emptied. They believe that they have a lot to learn in these countries what hospitality and respect for the customer means since they didn't give us a free stay, those who pay expect logical services among other things. Non-existent friendliness, plus we had asked to change the kettle which didn't work and was never replaced. Decent breakfast but with little choice of sweet products. More than four stars. Not recommended.

Close to the centre, 10 minutes walk, huge rooms, clean, good breakfast, it can be a solution for those who want to go to Bucharest on a budget, they even prepared a breakfast bag for us on the morning of departure, to be recommended.

Hotel situato nelle vicinanze del centro di Bucarest che si può facilmente raggiungere a piedi. Comodissimo il fatto di avere il parcheggio per chi arriva in auto. Camere molto spaziose e pulite, nel bagno c'è anche il bidet che raramente si trova fuori dall'Italia. Colazione discreta tra dolce (forse poco) e salato (abbondante). Prezzo buono tenendo conto che siamo nella capitale. Consigliato.
