Wanted a place between Cherokee and Bryson city, this was good. Building is in poor shape, outside chairs were flaking paint. Yard was in need of a good mowing. Inside dust on chairs, headboards and all corners. Flaking paint in bathroom. The room smelled old and had a odor. Grandson got yelled at for skateboarding.

Not exactly what we expected after seeing a 4 star rating. This property is very dated.. stuck in the 50’s/60’s. Dingy furnishings and carpeting. It could use some updating and cleaning. There are 2 buildings to this property, I think the one we don’t stay in was a bit newer.

Just returned from a trip to Bryson City. Stayed here and the owners are fabulous! It's a mom-and-pop No Frills Hotel, but a fabulous experience! The owners are so kind. I love the lawn behind the hotel which has a fire pit and seating for the evenings. I sat and watched 3 beavers feeding in the river as an elk walked by in the background, and then these three majestic elk feeding in the vegetation across the river and the field next to the hotel. I wish I would have time to sit there for days!

The Two Rivers Motel is half way between Bryson City and Cherokee on old US 19 and sets at the confluence of two rivers, thus the name. Blaine and Cathy are the on site owners keep a quiet, clean and comfortable "mom and pop" motel with no frills. The rooms are comfortable but not richly furnished. But you should get a good nights rest. Behind the motel next to the river is a a picnic area with a fire pit, grills and tables. Around desk you may catch the small herd of elk walking through and their way to a field for the night. In addition there are geese, otter, beavers and other wildlife to enjoy, You will have to go to either Bryson City or Cherokee for meals, both about five miles away. If you don't need frills, just a comfy place to stop for one or several days, I recommend it. I will be a frequent guest hill on my motorcycle travels in the mountains.
