Wendy and staff were very kind and accommodating to us after hurricane Helene. The weak point was the unit we were staying in. However, Wendy mentioned that they were upgrading the units and that's why I gave them a five instead of a four. A quiet location with an in-season swimming pool and restaurant bar. Enjoyed the places you could sit outside.

This is the third time we have stayed here in the past 5 years as it is very convenient to the Nantahala river for white water rafting. It has always been a bit dated , but since our last visit they have been updating the property. Things are looking much nicer and more comfortable. The staff is always very nice. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great Experience! Traveling through North Carolina, we found this place by just looking around on Google Maps. I am so glad we did. After booking, they called to verify the arrival time because the check-in desk closes at 5. While I thought this might be an issue because we were not going to get there until after 7 pm, they assured me it would not be and that there would still be someone on-site in case there were any issues. We arrived a little after 4 pm and the check-in was a wonderful experience. I always have a ton of questions and they were super nice and extremely helpful. We stayed on a Wednesday night and their bar area doesn't open for the week until Thursday. No problem, there is a place literally across the street that has all kinds of beverages and bar food. We had several drinks and headed back across the street. They had a game room where I won my wife a prize on a claw machine. They have a few arcade games, pool tables, and ping pong. We hung out in one of their sitting areas that have amazing views. The bed was super comfortable and it had 5 or 6 pillows, so no need to bring ours in from the truck. Woke up to amazing views of the mountains, sat on rocking chairs on the porch, and ate fresh sausage and biscuits. The only thing that could have made the stay better is if the pool was open. Although we would have frozen! Just a little too early in the year for that. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in North Carolina!

the room was well maintained, but I could not give a good rating because:1. one-ply toilet paper 2. outside fireplace not working 3. cold shower 4. the towels are the cheap kind that don't dry you 5. so many bees you could not enjoy the back deck (I know they can't control the bees but at the corner of the deck was beautiful flowering tree that is causing the bees). 6. the game room had one bathroom out of order and the other locked. 7. They had several areas not open (pool, waterfall and lounge). 8. the front deck closes too early. 9. only one trash can in the bathroom no trash can at the coffee area. I would like to suggest to the owner or manager to spend one night in each unit over the next year and self-rate for total comfort. Ask the question is this what I want for my quest. It was very disappointing because the property is very beautiful.

The property was beautiful. We had issues with our toilet not working but the plumber came later that evening. I did not read anywhere that there is No elevator at this hotel and we are in our 70’s and it was difficult to carry our luggage to the second floor and no one to help. The staff was very nice.

Beautiful Location and Staff was amazing This was an amazing place to stay. I wish we had more time to explore more of the area. The front desk was very friendly, she even gave me directions to the most scenic ride to the resort by motorcyle. Unfortunately, the restaurant was understaffed but that is no fault of their own. They still allowed a limited menu for us and they didn't have to do that. Great place to stay!! Staff go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one.

Not worth it Our room was run down, the cover on the bed had a yellow spot, a queen size sheet was used for a king bed - they turned it sideways. And the mattress was bouncy and you could feel the springs. No elevator
