Smartflats - Gaité

Was a very nice stay, the room was clean and tidy will go again.

Ilegal and unacceptable for human living! 7 floors with no working elevator (they don't advertise it on Booking so it's against EU disability policies or for sick or disabled people). Paid over 100 eur per night for a dirty rat hole! Questions on Booking about the elevator are answered with yes, so fraud when advertising the apartment! The dirtiest, most disgusting apartment I've ever seen, everything is broken and dirty, doors, toilet, no clean towels, bed linen dirty, floors not washed in months! Booking customer service is not helping and the property itself ignores customers and does not change or improve anything, including for sick people who cannot use the reservation because of the lack of elevator! They hang up phones on customers! A disgusting, illegal, fraudulent property which should be taken out of Booking!

DO NOT BOOK, this company/accomodation is an absolute disgrace. Upon arrival we knew we were on the 6th floor, the lift was broke. So we had to continously take the stairs, the lift didn't get fixed throughout our stay. We soon realised there wasn't hot water either. We reported this immediatley and had to wait for the maintenance to arrive. He deemed that he was unable to fix it. We had 2 nights without any HOT WATER! We we're then finally provided different accomodation which was 20 minutes away from where we originanally booked. We we're also split into two seperate rooms when he had paid a large sum of money to be central and all in one room. Some group in the accomodation had left off fire extinguishers and there was coke all over the floor of the staircase. This was still there 12 hours later. Incredibly dangerous and dirty, we have recieved no compensation considering we had NO HOT WATER for two days. Considering we had NO HOT WATER, our requests for compensation have been disregarded. I certianly will be telling all my friends about this place, so they don't have to suffer the same experience we had too. I've travelled across Europe and stayed in many different places, but this is BY FAR the worst i've ever came across. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
