Hotel Schmid & Alfa

Sono stata nella parte Alfa dell’hotel. L’ingresso è indipendente, non si passa dalla hall dell’hotel Schmid. Camera pulita, calda, avevo il balconcino affacciato sul lago. L’anta dell’armadio aveva il vetro rotto… bagno piccolo, ma sufficiente. In camera non c’era l’acqua in omaggio. La colazione è stata deludente: per i celiaci non c’era molta scelta, i succhi di frutta sembravano annacquati e la quantità di affettato era molto poca.

Das Hotel Schmid und Alfa in Brunnen punktet vor allem mit seiner Lage, der Blick auf den See ist einfach wunderschön und die Umgebung lädt zum Entspannen und Genießen ein. Dafür gibt es von mir volle 5 Sterne. Die Aussicht und die Nähe zum Wasser machen das Hotel definitiv besonders. Die Sauberkeit und das Zimmer selbst würde ich mit 3,5 bis 4 Sternen bewerten. Die Zimmergröße ist großzügig und angenehm, allerdings ist der Einrichtungsstil etwas altmodisch und steril. Der Boden knirscht ebenfalls ziemlich, was das Ambiente ein wenig beeinträchtigt. Für einen Kurzaufenthalt ist das völlig in Ordnung, aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt könnte dies störend wirken zumindest aus meiner Sicht. Das Frühstücksbuffet verdient 4,5 Sterne. Es ist zwar kompakt, bietet aber dennoch eine gute Auswahl, sodass jeder etwas davon hat. Zum Personal kann ich sagen, dass es freundlich und höflich ist, aber eher kurz und knapp informiert. Ausführliche Tipps oder aktuelle Informationen zu Aktivitäten in der Umgebung sollte man hier nicht unbedingt erwarten; in diesem Bereich könnte man sicherlich noch etwas aufholen. Dafür vergebe ich 3,5 bis 4 Sterne. Insgesamt ist das Hotel eine gute Wahl für einen Aufenthalt in Brunnen, insbesondere wegen des großartigen Standorts und der Frühstücksqualität. Ein modernerer Stil in den Zimmern und detailliertere Informationen vom Personal würden das Erlebnis jedoch noch verbessern.

The hotel is right on the lake and yet right in the center. It is surrounded by several attractive restaurants. The hotel staff were really friendly and accommodating. Because I called the hotel directly, the receptionist was able to offer me the perfect room. The breakfast buffet is open from 6:30 a.m. on request and is very extensive. I will definitely come back when I have business in the area.

About the hotel: The hotel is in Brunnen, right by the harbor. The view from the lake rooms is like something out of a romantic blockbuster. The large lake, the snow-capped mountain peaks and the beautiful nature offer an almost unbelievable view. Our room was very clean and in good condition. The bathroom has its own window and is very bright. Only the bed pushed apart on its own now and then, so that you suddenly found yourself in the "visitor gap". The staff is very friendly and gives good tips on the weather and excursions. -In general, the Swiss are very friendly (how can you be in a bad mood when you're in the countryside). Breakfast is buffet style, we didn't miss anything. The coffee machine makes very good coffee, and there is always someone available to answer any questions. Getting there: The reception is open during the day. You can stop in front of the hotel by car to unload, then you have to rent a parking space about 300m away in the municipal car park for 25 francs per week. This was possible without any problems. There are motorcycle parking spaces directly in front of the hotel. It is also interesting for fans of motorbikes, sports cars and vintage cars, as many of them drive through Brunnen. It was still quiet in the evenings, we even slept with the balcony door open. The WiFi is perfect. We chose the hotel because it is the perfect starting point for hikes and day trips. It is also perfectly located for boating. We can also recommend the cable car ride to Stoos and the ridge hike. Information about excursions is available in the hotel, can be asked for or obtained from the nearby tourist information office. We would like to thank you for a wonderful holiday, which we would be happy to repeat at some point.

We wanted to spend 4 days as a first short break with our 1.5 year old daughter on Lake Lucerne. At breakfast there was another family at the table next to us. Our daughter has been back and forth a few times to the other child. The lady at the buffet said it wasn't a playground here. Furthermore, because of August 1st, there was a free night with a party in front of the hotel. We didn't know this, and since it was warm and we had the room facing the street, we decided to leave one night earlier with our daughter. So that she can sleep at night. The hotel did not accommodate us in terms of price and the lady at the reception said that we had to check out by 11 a.m. the next day. This although we were still paying in full for the day and night had to, a bit cheeky. The hotel is in a beautiful location and is definitely a great choice for couples or cyclists. As a family, I would not visit again, nor would I recommend it.
