Exceptional stay, this hotel is just amazing. All the staff are welcoming, polite, professional and go out of their way to make your stay 10/10. The reception staff helped us massively by giving us local tips to help us explore the area and get the most out of our trip. The views from the balcony (junior suite) are stunning, waking up and walking out to the balcony watching the boats go past on the lake made our holiday. Make sure you enjoy a drink in the infinity pool, they told us when we checked in this will be spectacular and it truely was. The food and service in the restaurant was 10/10, can recommend a bottle of wine called Lugana to compliment the pasta. Breakfast was a treat, you get provided with continental tray and coffees and then choose hot cooked breakfast from a menu. The room was spacious and clean, our only feedback for the room was that it would have been beneficial to have some milk provided for the tea/coffee facilities. If you want a small, family feel hotel with amazing lake views this is the hotel for you. We hired a car and getting to the hotel was an interesting experience going up the winding roads, we were initially concerned about how to get back to the hotel when we went to explore as we went on foot, but you can easily get the funicular back to Brunate, send the hotel a message and they offer a transfer service to get you back up to the hotel. A great service. The only thing we would have changed is to stay for longer!!

I want to start the review with the location. Yes, it was beautiful once we got there but getting there is not easy. We arrived by train, no taxi would take us there because it's 30 min there and then they would loose 30 min of their time while traveling back down, the very narrow road. Ubers would accept it but then decline for same reason. We ended up taking taxi to funicular but then you have to wait in line to go up which was long and as it gets busier will be longer. Once you reach the top you still have another 8 -10 min ride. We were told we could use bus to travel the remaining distance but after spending time trying to find that I finally called the hotel and she said the buses don't run that day and that she would come get us. Well she came in a small car and there were four of us plus our luggage so she could only transport two at a time. We went first and then had to wait for her to return with the other couple in order to check in and there were other guests waiting to check in as well. Hotel room was very clean and updated recently. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good. We had booked the hot tub for private use in the evening but had I known it was only luke warm, head pillows kept falling off and there weren't enough people staying we couldn't had it to ourselves anyway, I should've cancelled instead of spending the extra money. We arrived fairly late in the day so by time we got to the pool it was to cold to enjoy. Due to the issues we had getting up we asked the hotel to make arrangements for a taxi back to train station which was around $100.

The place where the hotel is located - simply fantastic. The road is typical for mountain-small villages therefore I recommend you renting a small car :) the hospitality is outstanding, room was clean, very aesthetic and - the best part - THE RESTAURANT. The food made by Gina is simply the best, if you can you should try it. The breakfast is so complete and tasty as well!
