If we could rate this place higher than 5 stars we would! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. From the personal explanation about must-see places in Bruge, to the accomodations, to the location. This has been one of the most amazing experiences we have had during our many travels. Lyn was exceptionally inviting and helpful but the entire staff was amazing. If we are ever lucky enough to find ourselves in Bruges again we would most definitely stay here! We are so thankful that we switched up accomodations at the last minute. We found a true gem in Canalside House!

Wir hatten ein Apartment mit kleiner Küche und Sofa, ein Schlafzimmer und Toilette und Badezimmer. Das Badezimmer war super modern, mit Badewanne und Dusche. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich, man bekommt auch mal ein Glas Sekt, wenn man auf der Dachterrasse sitzen möchte und Brügge von oben anschauen kann. Das B&B ist zentral gelegen, man kann von hier alles wunderbar zu Fuß erreichen. Das Frühstück kostet 25 €/Person, ist aber sehr gut. Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Recently spent 3 nights here with my fiancée, we had the most amazing time. Location is amazing, only a few minutes walk to the Belfry & Markt, overlooks Church of our Lady, with beautiful views of the canals right from the room. Lyn, the host, was unbelievably accommodating, giving us a great 20 minute info session on what restaurants & sights to see during our stay; she also gave us champagne on the roof terrace while pointing out the sights of the city! We stayed in the master suite, which was beautiful. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful, and the sitting room/kitchen was so useful! This was truly one of our favorite accommodations while traveling & it helped make Bruges a magical visit for us. I would absolutely recommend Canalside House to everyone!

The website isn't exaggerating when it promises "The charme of private home and the comfort of a luxury hotel." Considerably larger than most NYC apartments, and overlooking a quiet canal, this was one of the most comfortable accommodations I've stayed in anywhere in Europe. The website does not do it justice. The host, Lyne, was welcoming, gracious, and helpful throughout, welcoming us (and sending us off) with glasses of champagne and offering advice and securing reservations. Make sure you take a coffee on the roof of the adjacent property, which offers views of the belfry and church.

My girlfriend and I spent two wonderful nights here last week. Upon arrival the owner met us, gave us a tour of the unit, and offered us a glass of champagne while she went over a map of the city, giving us sightseeing and restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice on the roof deck of her other property just down the street, with an incredible view of the buildings of the city, completely free of charge. The fridge was also stocked with bottles of water, Coke and beer, which was a completely unexpected but appreciated bonus. We typically stay in budget locations, and were completely blown away by the hospitality and generosity here. We absolutely plan on visiting Bruges again, and I don't think there's anywhere else we could stay. Also just as a bonus - maybe the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on.

I stayed in the Perle Suite at the Canalside house for 4 nights in mid-May and it was awesome. It is such a beautiful place and Lyne was so kind and helpful. She even did me some special favors and when I wanted to pay her for her trouble she wouldn’t accept any money. The apartment is huge and lovely and the location can’t be beat. And you will love the canal view from the bedroom window.

This room is absolutely lovely. We stayed here for part of our honeymoon trip - the view of the canal was wonderful and quiet, and we had peaceful mornings sipping espresso before walking an easy distance to the center of Bruges.
