Ich habe erst nicht so hohe Erwartungen an ein Forsthaus gehabt,als ich aber ankam und schon den grossen Außenbereich ( einige umgebaute Stalle zu Zimmern mit viel grün ringsherum)sah,war ich schon voll im Erholungsmodus.Ich ging zur Rezeption und da sah man direkt die urige Einrichtung des Haupthauses,ganz gemütlich eingerichtet mit und die alten Balken erhalten.Das Personal war durchgehend freundlich.Das Abend essen a la Card hat mich umgehauen,das Rindfleisch war ausgezeichnet,der Rotwein bestens.Das Frühstück ( 10 Euro pro Person) war ebenfalls hervorragend.Vkm Rührei,über Lachs bis hin zum Smoothie gab es eine große Auswahl.Mein Zimmer war im Nebengebäude mit kleine Außenterrasse mit Blick ins Grüne,war ausreichend gross,( nur die Dusche und der Fernseher )könnten verbessert werden.Ich war hellauf begeistert und wede wieder kommen.!

We stayed at Forsthaus Heiligenberg en route from London to Oslo, expecting an average country hotel. However we were pleasantly surprised. It might feel off the beaten track in its rural setting but this proved an asset as it was peaceful. Our accommodation (in the Rosenquartier) was spacious, modern but well blended with the whole (period) property. Bed was comfortable, rain shower excellent. We had a small terrace (ground floor) looking into the woods where we went for a walk after dinner. Dinner - during the asparagus season - was delicious. Breakfast was outstanding: full choice of cooked, continental etc, with excellent bread, local ingredients and a whole honeycomb! Staff were all charming and helpful. Our alternative was a chain hotel but we found the personal touch here refreshing. We liked it enough to change our route to stay again on our way back!

We stayed here for the second time, the time for a friend's summer party which took place in the gardens of the main complex. We were, again, in the modern Klostermühle complex, a five minute walk or one minute drive away for the historic mail hotel complex up a hill. The Klostermühle, the hotel building next to it has its name from, is a historic water mill which now serves as an event location for the hotel. Our room, I would call it a junior suite, came in a mix of natural materials (wood, copper) and was very spacious, quiet and well appointed and had even a kitchenette. Breakfast buffet in the main building left nothing to be desired. Will happily return.

Das einzig, was mich von einer 5*+ Bewertung abhält, ist die schlechte Internetanbindung im wirklich schönen Restaurantaußenbereich. Ich kann mich lrider nicht so auslassen wie ich möchte. Essen top *****+. Hotel top. Leider in der Hochtemperaturphase hier gewesen. Trotzdem Zimmer top. Service, Freundlichkeit top.

Seit Jahren komme ich zum Heiligenberg, schon als Kind mit unseren Eltern in den 70-iger Jahren. Da ist mein Urteil vielleicht etwas emotional vorbelastet. Gleichwohl: wer Ruhe, ein äusserst angenehmes Ambiente, leckere und ansprechend arrangierte Speisen und sehr gepflegte Getränke bevorzugt, ist hier goldrichtig. Im Vergleich zu meiner letzten Bewertung vor 3 Jahren hat sich die Küche nochmals gesteigert . Auch wenn der Fachkräftemangel das Forsthaus nicht völlig unverschont lässt, hat die Familie Brüning höchst freundliche und kompetente Mitarbeiter am Start. Herausragend dabei: Herr Rasch, der den Service perfekt, kenntnisreich und immer freundlich im Griff hat. Ihn muss ich einfach erwähnen. Die alte Scheune und ihre Umgebung waren für unser Seminar mit 10 Teilnehmern eine perfekte Heimat. Schlafqualität in der besonders empfehlenswerten Suite Comtessa: 100%.
