Star of Texas Bed & Breakfast

This was our third trip to the Wildrose cottage -- beautiful and peaceful as always! We especially enjoyed the porch swing. Delicious food and the cottage was spotless. The only minor problem we encountered was that the wifi connection did not work for us.

Don and Deb are wonderful! We decided to elope and they made our day wonderful! The cottage was cozy, the breakfast amazing, the property beautiful and our experience priceless!! Will definitely recommend to our family and friends!

This was a place created by love FOR the sake of love. Peaceful and relaxing. Don and Deb were wonderful hosts. They put so much love and effort in the small details of the house and property and you can see it and feel it during your entire stay. Without knowing these people you can sense how genuine and wholesome they are. I highly recommend!

Recently spent two nights at the Star of Texas with my wife. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Don and Deb were great hosts! I would reccommend the Oak Cottage for privacy. The hot tub outside our door was an added plus.

Very nice stay for a weekend getaway. I would recommend for anyone wanting to take a break from the city and have a quiet weekend surrounded by nature. The Oak Cottage is very nice with a look out into the woods. Jacuzzi right out the door and a peaceful trail to walk through.

Oh my where do I even begin … we eloped here this weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Don and Deb really know hospitality they are so warm and inviting and just make the over all experience that much better. We stayed in the Wildrose which we absolutely loved it was cozy warm and had very relaxing feel. Throughout the cabin you may notice some little details that make all the difference in the world such as the rum punch left in the fridge for you when you arrive , the little wall hangings that have loving messages on them or the scrabble pieces that spell out sweet dreams by the bed , the adult coloring books , the door knobs that have become towel hangers , the intricate iron head board , and let’s not forget about the relaxing hot tub and amazing breakfast! The location is close enough to town should you like to venture out yet far enough away to feel like your in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nothing but nature. This place gives a new meaning to tranquility and the star constellations you can see at night are out of this world. Deb and Don made the elopement perfect and meaningful. It was absolutely beautiful and very moving. The pictures were also top notch, not sure if Debs a professional but her pictures absolutely show she’s no amateur! I really can’t rave enough about here. Do yourselves a favor and just book you a weekend away with your significant other I promise you won’t regret it !!
