The environment looked OK at first. There is a beach behind, but you can only see it and cannot walk there. You still have to drive there.
The room is nice and has a southern feel. There is a refrigerator and kettle in the room, but no microwave

Four years later, we stayed in the same hotel again, this time to see the famous ladder to the moon. We had dinner on the terrace outside the bar while waiting for the ladder to appear. The live band sang to cheer us up, and the atmosphere was full of festivals. It was great.

Great location - easy walk to town or the famous Matsos. The terrace is a great spit to eat or gaze at the view, cold drink in hand. Tariffs are a bit on the high side but that is the case with all hotels in Broome.

The hotel was a small (walking) distance fom the CBD / Chinatown and seemed to be spread over a fairly wide area. Accommodation and Reception were unexceptional. However, at the heart of the complex was the Bay Club Restaurant, a large expanse of lawn overlooking Roebuck Bay and a pleasant dining spot. We tried it several times. Food and drinks were ordered at the bar and paid for. Food was served promptly and was always fresh and delicious. Their other restaurant, Johnny Sausage (Italian) was booked out when we tried),

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Mangrove Hotel. We stayed in an Ocean View suite which had great views across the bay. I'd recommend asking for an upper floor room as otherwise there will be a lack of privacy due to the proximity of the swimming pool. The renovated room was spacious, clean and was everything that we needed for our stay in Broome. No problem finding a parking space at the front of the hotel and we were warmly welcomed by the reception team. The bar and restaurant overlooking the bay was very popular with both guests and locals. Quality and flavour of the food was very good and in the evening there was a great atmosphere. Perfect place to watch Staircase to the moon too if you are there at the right time. There are two swimming pools each end of the complex but neither were busy when we visited. The hotel is walking distance to the town centre and also to Matsos brewery down the road. I'd recommend the Mangrove if you're coming to Broome and want to stay close to town rather than over near Cable Beach. It was an enjoyable and relaxing few days and we'd stay here again.

Fantastic location , good food wine & service , but the terrible Duff duff backpackers live music was very unenjoyable, given the crowd were mainly older & clearly not backpackers would have thought the music would be more geared to the majority

We didn't stay here but went back three times for meals. Simply put, the location and vistas should be enough but the meals were creative and tasty. Just a great venue, close to town and beaches. If we didn't have family in Broome we'd be here for certain!
