La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Minneapolis Northwest

Disgusting. This may be one of my first really negative reviews of a hotel. One of the worst Stays we've ever had. Do not bring your family here. It feels dirty and unsafe And reeks of dope. First they sent us to a room that had people already Staying in it when we open the door. The bedsheets were stained, wee had to get fresh ones from the front desk that we put on our bed. Everywhere was so dirty it was disgusting, food and garbage laying on the floor everywhere And mounds of garbage overflowing out of the garbage bin In the parking lot. People sitting in their cars all night smoking whatever, I kept getting up to check my vehicle because it didn't seem safe. La Quinta is definitely off our hotels Search now.

Toilets too low and no grab bars I’ve stayed at this hotel a few different times, always in a different room, so I can now say with some confidence that the one BIG drawback to this hotel is the height of the toilet in each room is TOO LOW (like 15” off the floor); very difficult to sit down onto and extremely difficult to get up from. Also there are no grab bars to help (maybe handicap room has them?). I had both knees replaced 6 years ago. I am in my late 60s, am active, and go to exercise class 3x a week, but I have never seen a hotel with toilets so low and so difficult to use. For that reason, I will not stay at this hotel again. If you are free of knee problems and/or your're short, you might be fine here.

Great value for the cost! Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is as you would expect, with warmed egg patties, sausage links and high-carb stuff, but clean and attended to. Good value for the price!

Would stay again! The building was very clean, as well as our room. Staff friendly and accommodating.

Look somewhere else This is a strange La Quinta. The place feels very Patel-like. I’m wondering if anyone from La Quinta has checked here recently. Room was stale and smelled of smoke. Inappropriate signs posted like it was someone’s private residence - You’re not allowed to take your breakfast items to your room??? And the breakfast offering was pretty sad. Just a 1-Star place in my mind.

Nice room. Terrible breakfast service. The room itself was great. The location is great. The stay was ruined by the woman working the breakfast. I did come down toward the end of breakfast. However, she made it obvious she was not happy I was there as she was cleaning. She was removing food from right in front of me. Then she mumbled in some foreign language at me. I just decided to leave the area. I packed up my stuff and left the hotel. I went to the next McDonalds and had breakfast.
