We enjoyed a lovely 'champagne afternoon tea' at Rhinefield on Friday of last week to say goodbye to a much loved colleague and friend who is heading on to pastures new. The hotel provided a beautiful location for the event and the food and service were exceptional. In particular the staff who served us added to our enjoyment of the afternoon - they provided a warm and friendly service which was very much appreciated by all. Organising the event with Annette from the events team was a joy from start to finish - faultless service and plenty of patience!

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 2 nights and will be back. Aside from its obvious beautiful setting it is clean well maintained and the staff are delightful. It is very clear that the attentive and polite team are well trained and the management are to be congratulated as this is so often ignored in an industry that typically has a high turnover of staff. Dinner in the Armada restaurant was fabulous as were the waiting staff and somelier. Check in with Maria was faultless and check out via Paul was slick. Couples should be warned that the hotel does attract families and although they were in the main well behaved there were more children than we would otherwise expect.

Booked for afternoon tea as we fancied trying somewhere different. Building is of course beautiful and drive up very nice. Entrance not obvious as no sign but only door open so we went in. Found someone who directed us to the correct place. Waited in a corridor for about a minute before someone arrived. We were sat at a table in a pleasant room however it did not have any atmosphere. We waited over ten minutes to order drinks. I asked if there was a children’s option, there was so ordered one children’s and three adults’ afternoon teas. It was then we realised the table cloths and napkins were in fact damp, more than damp actually but not exactly wet. Two teas arrived after another ten minutes then our first course. I chased the missing drinks which came about 5 minutes later. Sandwiches salmon, beef and cheese, were ok, nothing special. Second came a tart and pithivier which were nice. Then we received scones and cakes. It was only then my son’s full child’s cream tea arrived (why didn’t he have the sandwiches at the same time as us etc?). The cakes and scones were nice but again, nothing special. It was a very bizarre experience and nowhere near worth the money. We had to ask for plates on two occasions and did not get offered more tea or drinks. Such a shame, beautiful place but it really lets itself down.

My wife and I got married on Thursday 26th June 2025. It was the most beautiful and magical day we had together. My Wife took me up the day before with all our wedding prep. Rhinefield staff made us very welcome as always. The bridal party suite was absolutely amazing with a lovely card and letter. I stayed the night prior with my sister-in-law and we had an evening with food and lots of laughter. The night of the wedding in our honeymoon suite was absolutely amazing. Thank you for our chocolates, bottle of champagne and our teddy bear with our names and date on it. They were beautiful. The Wedding Day it self, wow where too start.... from the moment we did our enquiry and had a phonecall about 20 minutes later and arranging to meet one of the wedding coordinators the next morning. The morning my wife and I meet Annette Saunders, she made us feel part of Rhinefield already and we had many laughs together and made our Wedding Day really special for us. Annette met to our needs when asking questions whether it was via phone or email and stressing over little things about our wedding and coming down to us. The evening of our Date night (wedding taster) the Staff were 5 Star. We would also, like to say a massive thank you too the rest of Rhinefield Staff in helping us making our day amazing. We had lots of lovely comments from people who came to our wedding and how amazing Rhinefield is, the grounds to the staff. Thank you.

My husband and I attended a wedding here on 26/06/2025. The staff were wonderful, really attentive to the bride and brides needs, and extra friendly and patient with the guests- including the more intoxicated amongst us. I just need to highlight one of our bartenders in particular who is sober and yet still served with a smile on his face. The views are beautiful, with so many photo opportunity spots, plenty of wild birds and other wildlife too. We didn't stop laughing all night, and the staffs sense of humour was top tier. Thank you all. Honestly, the only negative of the entire visit was that I couldn't find the centre of the maze without cheating, and I tried hard! 32 years old and so disappointed in myself. Thank you all, going to shoot my shot, obviously, but I think the staff should get a bonus, or a raise- just saying!

Very up and down in quality. The hotel and room itself were nice, but the gardens and decor are disappointingly uninspired. Food was incredibly variable. Dinners ranged from exceptionally tasty to virtually unedible, swimming in grease. Breakfast was similar, from perfectly cooked one day, to barely cooked sausage another, and stone cold scrambled egg on another. Maybe depended on the day’s chef? The staff were unfailingly lovely and friendly, but frequently there seemed to be no direction for them, so service was often slow and haphazard.
