This was our third time staying here, and it has really improved since our first two visits. The spa / pool decking area has been extended, there's an additional outdoor pool, and the gardens have been superbly landscaped with new play equipment added. The overall experience at the hotel has also improved . There were some lovely details, like a personalised welcome message for our children on arrival in their bedrooms, and name plates pre-arranged on the table at dinner times. The kids' club was well run and cinema evenings with popcorn is another nice touch. Generally the staff are much better organised than on our previous visits, and conspicuously polite and helpful, even at pressurised meal-times when the dining rooms are very busy. It makes a real difference to have service with a genuine smile rather than a scowl. The one gripe that remains from our previous visits is the slow service at mealtimes. Sitting down to a pre-booked 7pm dinner for children but the first food not arriving until 7:40pm is not good enough given the price-point of the hotel.
