The Fish Hotel

From the moment we walked into the reception at the Lodge we were so impressed.We were greeted by Gavin who gave us such a warm welcome and informed us that we had been given a complimentary upgrade to a suite at the coach house. (Due to it being my birthday) Our room was beautiful, modern,clean,warm and welcoming. We had a note from the manager saying Happy Birthday and a lovely little box of chocolates. The staff were all so helpful,polite and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choice. Service in the bar on our first night was a little slow, but we weren’t in a rush and it was relaxing sitting by the fire. We would thoroughly recommend The Fish Hotel. We had a fantastic stay. Thank you to you all.

So relaxing I went into labour! We came for our first stay here in one on the hilly Huts. From start to finish’s the service was impeccable. We came for our anniversary/mini baby moon and the staff were so incredibly accommodating, every last detail was so heartfelt and they added that special touch! Our dinner in the hook was exquisite. Again, the service was warm and welcoming assuring us that we had everything you needed. I am definitely visiting again, as I was so relaxed I went into labour so our visit got cut short!! If you’re after a peaceful slice of the countryside with a relaxing atmosphere, amazing food and away from the hustle and bustle of life, I couldn’t recccomend this more! 10/10

We stayed in a hideaway hut which was super cute. Service was amazing throughout, really felt like a 5* property Can’t fault it, breakfast was great. Mini bar is included. Views are great, and really close to Broadway which was beautiful at night with the Christmas lights.

We had the most incredible time at The Fish Hotel for New Year’s Eve! The package was absolutely amazing, especially the food—it was outstanding from start to finish. The staff were fabulous: so attentive, caring, and genuinely friendly, which made our experience all the more special. As a family, we’ve stayed at The Fish for many years, and it never disappoints. Every visit exceeds our expectations, and this one was no exception. We were totally impressed with every aspect of our stay and have already decided to book again for 2025. Thank you to everyone at The Fish for making the start of our New Year so memorable!

We stayed in a hideaway hut for my girlfriends birthday. It was stunning inside, very well equipped and comfortable. The window in the roof was brilliant to watch the stairs in bed. And the hot tub…..the icing on the cake. Amazing to just sit there and relax with the sun setting and then again in pitch black after dinner and star gaze. The mini bar and snacks were a really nice touch. Also the food in the fish restaurant was really good and reasonably priced too. The service from everyone was amazing. We cannot wait to visit again.

Our room was very comfortable. Lots of little details taken care of. It wasn’t very private to though, anyone walking to the stables rooms could see straight in. Blinds have privacy, but then the view was lost! Unfortunately the service is where we were disappointed. The staff were friendly, and worked so hard. They were just disorganised and sooo slow. Our pre dinner cocktail arrived after our starter! It took 45 mins to arrive (on both nights) . Breakfast was a treat. Despite slow to be cooked it was worth the wait and we weren’t in a hurry. Comfortable, relaxed but slow service.
