Paskins Town House

After a long drive to Brighton, Charlotte was warm and welcoming; she thoroughly explained the parking process and provided us with our license. The room was clean, quirky and thoughtfully designed. We were a short walk away from the hustle and bustle where we had a fantastic night. When we got back, we entered via code and had a comfortable relaxed night, knowing that our super hosts were on hand should there be an issue. Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Brighton.
Premier Inn Brighton City Centre (North Street)

The location was amazing! we were right in the middle of the action and everything was very convenient. check-in was great, the gentlemen at the from that helped us check in Callum was super polite and very helpful. The staff at the breakfast was fantastic, my girlfriend's a vegan and they made her fresh vegan sausages at no extra cost! The room was clean and very nice, although it would be great to have some complimentary things like bottles of water or toothbrush/paste nevertheless it was an amazing stay! also the check out was super easy and hassle-free we just dropped off our room card in a box, super convenient especially if you're on a tight schedule.
OYO Langford Hotel, Brighton & Hove

It might have been rated a 3star establishment back in it's day, but I strongly suspect since they had their rating they let anything that goes wrong stay wrong. Whilst our room that we stayed in for a week was large and clean, the hairdryer didn't work, curtains were falling down and had stains along with the carpets and couch also being badly stained, The wardrobe doors didn't close, the two single beds pushed together had no headboard and the double sheet on the bed wasn't wide enough to cover the 2 single beds. The beds were comfortable enough though. On the 1st night a window was smashed on the landing stairway. It took them 3 days to clear up the glass on carpeted floor and window sill. I'm not sure what makes a hotel, a hotel, but as I can only think it's 24hour Reception then that's how they get by as there was no kitchen, bar or any other 'facility'. In the 7 night stay they only do housekeeping once (though if we'd have asked for extra I'm sure they would have obliged'. They took away our large bath sheets on that one clean and were replaced with small bath towels. We had hung them up so I thought that was meant to mean we didn't need them replaced. I did ask reception if they could provide any of the large ones but they'd gone to the cleaners. The location is very good, close to seafront and bus routes. The staff we did encounter at Reception were friendly and helpful which is why I still rate it 3 out of 5. The area is very expensive and this was a reasonable price for it's location. having said all the above if I need a place to stay for less than £90 a night I would book again.
Blanch House

Staff were super friendly, room was spotlessly clean and breakfast was very good. However, the Moroccan room we were given was dark, dull, had an awful view of pigeons on the rooftops and the toilet was nigh on impossible to use as it was crammed in a corner on an angle. Lighting was abysmal too. Avoid this room and im sure the other rooms are really good. We saw Alice room on changeover day and it was so much better. Breakfast was good but the depressing decor and awful music made us rush to get out. Staff superb. Cleanliness 100%. On street parking voucher ok value wise.
Royal Albion Hotel
3.5/545 Reviews
I love the Albion for its quirky character and levels of dysfunction that border on charming. Most of the staff have a real flair for their role in what must at times be a challenging and high pressure environment. Some of the rooms are perfectly adequate but others are riddled with mould, damage and various defunct amenities. Hit and miss but the location is ideal and you can often find a bargain room in an emergency
Regency Hotel

I came out with lots of money to spend and i hoped of being able to eat lots of good seafood. First off, ordered mussels, ok, the mussles themselves were very small, and the sauce was extremely over salted so not a great start. Asked if I could have crab in the seafood spaghetti , the waiter was rude, ignored me and wrote down crab salad, I told him no, asked him again and he just said no without asking the kitchen. So ordered the seafood spaghetti. When it turned up, spaghetti was overcooked , tasted bad and lacked seafood. So I felt embarrassed but had to send it back. They asked me If I wanted anything else. I wanted to give them another chance so I ordered the callamari as a starter to be polite. The waiter pretty much dropped it on the table and ran off before even asking if we wanted another drink. It was bad again. So had to send back. If the customer service was better I would have been more inclined to buy more drinks
