Initially favourable, although sites were very small. My 6 m campervan overlapped site behind me. However, a very loud, intoxicated and potentially violent group directly across from me and neighbouring friends ruined the experience. Camp management was not receptive when some of our group complained the next morning, saying they could not act on "word of mouth". One of the emergency phone numbers provided was inactive and late at night with a potentially dangerous situation none of us solo ladies felt like walking over to the office to look at the window for futher information. Group eventually settled at 11 pm but we decided to leave. Not a place I will visit again or recommend.

We have been staying at the Bright NRMA caravan park for many years. Unfortunately over the last few years we have noticed a steady decline in the service and cleanliness of the park. This year, the toilets on our side of the park were filthy. I spoke to reception multiple times about the overflowing bin in the ladies toilets, along with the smeared faeces under the toilet bowl (which was still there after 4 days). Only 1 of 3 toilets had toilet paper. I could only find 1 working washing machine in two of the laundry areas. Each time I spoke to somebody at reception I was told the issues would be rectified, but they never were. After reading other reviews on this site, it is clear that this is a common occurrence of late. Considering the very high fees of unpowered sites and the unsanitary conditions, we will be staying elsewhere next year.

I can tell you the NRMA response to this review will again be denial of problems with this park, (formed this opinion their response others reviews) rather than acknowledgement and perhaps a promise to remedy the obvious problems. Booked powered site for my 8m+ van and friends 8m motor home. The sites were totally unacceptable, the MH could not be levelled or any where near level on the site. With my caravan I doubt the jockey wheel would remove van from the 4wd. I acknowledge the van park had limited sites available, we spent the next two hours going to sites said by staff to be suitable, they were not, simply they either did not have sullage or were still too steep and small to level up the MH. We ended up getting a refund and moved on elsewhere, after wasting a food part of the day. My observations of this park and our experience are as follows: We chose NRMA park blindly believing because of ownership it would be good to excellent. The roads are rough and in need of repair in some areas. The sites are not in the main suitable for larger rigs. The sites are dusty and carpet filthy, yes you could clean them up with a blower vac, not the leaves just the dust and dirt. Staff knew nothing about the various sites, new management and staff filling in. From grapevine around the sites constant change of management and staff is very common. Head office staff allocating sites obviously know nothing about the actual sites other than perhaps measurement, and sullage, the slope is vey important with larger rigs. FacilitiesI used whilst trying to find a site were absolutely dated and far from clean. Site numbers are faded, poor and make location difficult. Any way thank you NRMA for wasting a good part of my day, that would otherwise have been spent exploring Bright and spending some money in the local community. In summary a park that needs a good planner, heaps of money spent on the park to update and correctly categorising it’s sites for suitable RVs. Denial of problems again by NRMA are not acceptable, including that park management was very new, they cant fix problems here unless you assist and spend some money.

Beautiful setting. Ideal location, walking distance to town.Magnificent trees. Morse's Creek runs through the middle of the park. Vans camped along the creek allow their grey water to run into the creek. There is minimal grey water sullage points and management don't do anything about the grey water issues. Grey water is allowed to run onto lower camp sites, across roads and into storm water points then into the creek. All facilities within the park are poorly maintained, not clean and run down. Many of the lights within the park don't work. Roads are eroded and full of pot holes. Only 2 washing machines working out of 6. Rubbish bins overflowing in some areas and stink.

We have stayed at the park for many years and have always enjoyed it until this year. The amenities and run down, dirty, unfinished and in disrepair. The fans wouldn't work in the camp kitchen and the doors would slide open due to the amount of dirt in the tracks. The floor hadn't been sweep or mopped in days. There is no lighting at night time if walking back from the street. The poleholes are the size of craters, our cabin sliding doors wouldn't slide or lock, the curtains were filthy and falling off the rail. There was mould inside and outside of the shower and on the blinds, there's a large crack in the bathroom basin. The fan switches don't have knobs to turn them on safely, the security light didn't work. Management were extremely unpleasant and rude. Great location but unfortunately this park has declined a lot in the last couple of years and extremely overpriced.

The standards in this park have definitely declined. The shower/toilet blocks are not even worth marking out of 5. The pool was closed all day on a hot Saturday, boom gates not working which lead to cars overcrowding sites and paths, the general look of the gardens and grassed areas look tardy etc. Time to look at other options...

Beautiful park but very poor facilities. Many powered sites have no sullage option. Grey water is allowed to run down the hill into the creek. Or down the hill onto sites below. Some sites have the sullage pit uphill so grey water runs out over the road. Nothing worse than walking through people's kitchen waste. Street lighting is not working in many areas, roads are potholed and uneven. The bins are huge and not emptied enough, the smell is overpowering. You need to be well over 5 foot tall just to open the lid. Toilets aren't cleaned enough. Rubbish is just swept out the door and onto the ground outside.
