Upon arrival, we were shocked by the (poor) condition of the park. The negative reviews are warranted and increasing - the park seems on a downward trajectory. When we tried to set up our tent, we couldn’t get any pegs into the ground—even with heavy-duty equipment. We called the phone number for help (there is no-one on site!) and they seemed surprised by our difficulty, which is baffling given the recent reviews that mention the same thing. The park’s response to one of those was that the customer booked last minute, stating if they booked earlier they would have got a “premium site”. We booked a year in advance and still had an unusable site. They offered us other non-en-suite sites, but testing other nearby sites we still couldn’t get our pegs into the ground. They denied a refund despite the fact that we couldn’t use the site they booked us into (or any other nearby site). The couple next door faced the similar issue and left early because they found the inability to set up their caravan annex, and the condition of the amenities, unacceptable. The park claims to be cheaper than other places. We paid $540 for an en-suite site for 6 nights outside school holidays. There are much better, more affordable options in nicer locations. We - thankfully - found another park in town at the last minute during the busy Buffalo Stampede weekend. It was a lot better and cheaper! Winning!! We enjoyed our holiday (thanks to moving to the other park) and will never return to BAP. If you’re planning to camp in Bright, I strongly recommend booking elsewhere (I will post my other experience separately for where I think is a good option). The reviews of BAP - and more importantly, the park’s defensive response to any criticism - speak for themselves!

We actually didn’t get there, I’m writing this review on this places terrible customer service. We were supposed to be there Labour Day weekend but my partner was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and is very ill. This mob would only give us 50% of our paid in full money back. As there is a festival on in Bright that weekend I am sure they would rent our powered site with no hassle. This mob are uncaring greedy people so my recommendation is go elsewhere.

Please read reviews before you book this property, we didn’t, what a disappointment, booked a so called deluxe cabin, at an extremely overpriced amount. It was no better than a caravan. It is a very sad looking caravan park.

Wow, this place is advertised as above average. Value for money is just terrible. The only plus is that the toilet block is clean but very old. No water pressure. The tank fed supply randomly stop running.

OMG very ordinary park, toilets and showers old, no dump point, no water pressure, stay only if you are desperate, right near the main road so quite noisy but ok late at night. Sites are quite muddy as not much grass on the sites. Pool looks nice

The very basic cabin I was allocated was the most overpriced I've paid in all my years of staying at caravan parks (over $200/night). I was expecting the cabin to be pretty schmick because of the price - but instead, it was old and 'tired'. There were ants running along the clothes cupboard and kitchen bench, the paintwork and fixtures were peeling or cracked, the bathroom (shower and toilet recess) make a airplane toilet feel roomy, and the hot tap in the kitchen was near impossible to turn on - then when water did come on it squealed through the pipes. What they also don't mention is that they're on the main highway, so it is incredibly noisy from early morning through to late at night - it's not a restful place to stay at all. When I arrived I was simply told that 'I owed them some money for the two nights', which I paid in full. The guy at the desk said OK that's all done... But then I had to prompt him to ask whether I could have my room keys and how to find my cabin on the premises. He just pointed out the window and said 'that one by the pool, the key's in the door'. And that was it - no paperwork to orient me to where I could find facilities (the BBQ area, communal bins or shared laundry etc). I also called the office later that evening to get the code for the WiFI - only to be told they don't have WiFi -something else they don't mention on their website. Would not recommend and will not stay here again.

Stayed Labour Day weekend 2023. Did not have any interaction with a staff member for the entire time. Keys were in the door of cabin when we arrived with check in instructions emailed. No folder inside cabin with welcome, rules, recommendations etc which was strange as we have been provided one at every other park we have stayed at. Park felt a bit negelcted - pool was gross- dirty and no idea if chlorine and PH levels tested regularly- and we couldn't swim in it which was really disapointing for the kids (see photos). Cabin was clean and had everything we needed except a hand towel and dish rack. It was nice sitting out on the deck. Location is about 5kms out of town. It is on a busy road but not too much noise at night time. I think the park just felt impersonal and would be improved with a staff member onsite and filtering and cleaning of the pool. I know the park was recently sold and the new owners had no hesitations in contacting me regularly for more money when they took over but then were non-existant during our stay. We paid $768 for the weekend so I guess I at least expected a pool we could swim in. I did look for a staff member to ask about the pool but there was none- I assume they are at other park that they own. If we paid half what we did then it would have been worth it but at the price we paid I know there are much nicer places to stay. EDIT I posted this review on Google and received a sarcastic response with a poem about being a Helicopter mum. I will let people make up their own minds.

Went with a group of friends for the weekend. Cabins were basic but clean, good kitchen facilities, microwave and over. Park had great BBQ area including playground and even a fridge! Pool was great, and very popular on a hot weekend. Also had a toddlers pool too. Staff were friendly and accommodated our request to be close to other friends that had booked with us. No WIFI available, phone service was fine so was able to use a hotspot when the kids wanted to use their tables. Location is a bit too far out of town to walk (4km) but is only a short drive, and was easy to find.
