Bright Velo

Bright Velo was perfect for our short MTB trip as a family. Great location right in town and easy ride to Mystic shuttles. Very clean with ample amenities and storage. Naomi was very welcoming on arrival and directed us to our room. Other staff on site very pleasant and helpful also. Little bit of noise from the outdoor bar area outside our 2 bed apartment from 4pm but it dies down really early and it didn’t really affect us at all as we were so tired from our days riding Mystic. The laundry, secure bike room and wash area were incredibly handy.

Nice and clean rooms with all the basic need's , room was a bit noise ,but the beds are really comfortable and great bedding in the rooms .Really friendly staff, great bar experience with the nice beers from the area! A really recommend for place for stay!

This was our third stay at the Velo and just as exceptional as our previous stays. We had two rooms in the Mystic Wing which seemed to have had a recent update. The rooms were scrupulosly clean,with plenty of towels. Beds were super comforable and again super clean.Check in instructions were clear and sent well ahead of our arrival. You are but a short stroll from everything the town of Bright has to offer. Great parking. On the morning of check out we met the most delightful housekeeper who happily showed us around the newly refurbrished areas of the hotel. Attention to detail was very luxe but warm and inviting. Previously we had stayed upstairs in the main building which has been extensively renovated so we are aware as to how the Velo had previously looked. Have also stayed in a two bedroom apartment. Central to everything and pleasing to see the amazing upgrades and development of this quintessential Victoria hotel. Looking forward to our next stay!

Comfortable rooms with friendly staff. The Velo is in a great location within walking distance to many restaurants and facilities, but it was also quiet. There is free parking. Free wi-fi was available and while a little slow was usable.

We stayed in the Merckx room (named after cycling great Eddie Merckx). Pleasantly surprised by the size of the lounge room and kitchen, huge balcony and the three bedrooms - two with double beds and two with single beds. To top it off there was an abundance of tea and coffee options available. Was so peaceful. Will definitely stay again - and for longer!

Our stay at velo was amazing, perfect location and all the staff were super friendly they went above and beyond for all of us, there was a big group of us, the newly refurbished interior design looks fantastic and the room was very nice, we’re looking forward to staying there again.

Beautiful room, the bed was so comfortable and an amazing shower!! Staff were amazingly attentive and the empire restaurant was fantastic! So close to everything. Highly highly recommend! Thank you Bright Velo

So we stayed for 2 nights at this absolutely gorgeous hotel. From the moment we walked in we felt we had arrived at home. The rooms at the hotel are something else, and our room (room 1) was the ultimate in understated luxury: from the fabulous double shower, to the cosy living area and the comfy bed, all furnishings were carefully selected to create that feeling of 'being at home', without being over the top. For the guests there is also an upstairs sitting area with coffee, tea and reading materials. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant were the staff was very welcoming.The process of checking in and checking out was smooth, complemented by a keyless passcode system. We do travel quite a bit through Victoria, stay at many hotels, and for us, this visit to Bright and the Bright Velo Hotel was a standout experience. Thank you so much. Jan & Cath

What a great little find. We'll appointed comfy rooms, warm and tastefully decorated. Great place to stop over on the way to falls or stay longer. Not massive in space but living room, 2 bathrooms and two bedrooms. Could easily sleep 6.
