We are two couples on a walking holiday. We booked Sunday lunch at The three bishops as it was convenient for our walking schedule. Then we read some of the reviews and prepared ourselves for the worse ( using legs and public transport meant that we did not have a viable alternative) The food was excellent, plentiful, good quality and very well cooked ( succulent chicken, vegetables with bite , well seasoned pork and chicken) . The staff were friendly and attentive. We all agreed that this was the best Sunday dinner we had had for ages. We are so glad we ate here- we think the terrible reviews relate to a previous manager/ staff because this was just great .

Just had a lovely dinner at The Three Bishops! The staff were all so friendly. Sean was especially great – super attentive and made us feel right at home. The locals are important to him and the place and it was refreshing to see. I had the half roast chicken, and it was perfectly cooked – juicy and flavourful. My other half went for the mac and cheese, and it was lovely! If you're looking for a place with great food and a warm, welcoming vibe, The Three Bishops is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Visited the three bishops during a camping trip to grange farm. The pub had just been taken over a couple of days before. Sean the new landlord introduced himself & is very friendly & helpful. We had a delicious meal there on the Thursday evening. The selection of lagers on tap is excellent. I believe the pub has rooms & offers b&b. We would definitely return to brighstone & this lovely pub. The staff serving were also very friendly in particular Elliot.

We turned up late Sunday evening and was able to get hot food even though the kitchen had closed. They were very accommodating and friendly with good service. Room was clean and had quality fittings with a very nice bed. If you like a few drinks and somewhere nice to stay it ticks all of the boxes.

The reception is part of the bar so I had to wait while they were serving people before I could check In. The room was really nice but unfortunately let down by empty chocolate wrappers, an empty pork scratching packet plus a few loose pork scratchings left in the draw beside the bed. Also the heating was working so the room was very cold. They did eventually give me a small very rusty oil radiator with a wheel missing for a little bit of heat. Also they only do a cooked breakfast, I wanted just cereal 😔 On the plus side the bed was comfy and the shower was really good and hot. Would I stay here again, probably not.

A friendly welcome and a great stay I had a fantastic stay. I was given a warm and friendly welcome when I arrived. The room was clean, warm and inviting. The tea, coffee & Chocolate was top quality, The shower was perfect and just what I needed. I had a meal in their restaurant, which was great, and very tasty. Breakfast was friendly and enough to start the day. Couldn't have asked for a better lace to stay.

Peaceful New Year's Break Lovely spacious room, comfy bed, very nice host Stacey & staff, nice food/breakfast. Beautiful little village & area, very peaceful & quiet. Plenty of parking. A real community pub with live music & events. Note: there is no housekeeping & minimal towels provided for the week so had to keep asking for items, though this wasn't a big problem. The towel heater in our bathroom never worked so had to use bedroom radiator to dry our towel each day. Unfortunately the toilet in our bathroom was blocked all week & sadly still hadn't been sorted by the time we left, despite numerous attempts. No mattress protector on bed. If you need WiFi it's not very good but that didn't bother us.
