Legacy Vacation Resorts - Brigantine Beach

The location is the only desirable thing about this resort. Carpet is filthy, Couch had no padding left in it and we couldn’t even sit on it. The pullout couch was terribly.

My children and I planned to stay in unit 806 over the holiday weekend. The experience was horrible and we did not sleep in the unit. We called en route to request the sofa bed be made up for 2 children. I was told it would be. Upon arrival there was zero parking available due to the property allowing LaScala Restaurant to use the lot. I had to park 5 blocks away with three small children. I never received the promised text about my room being ready. At 5:30pm I went in person to inquire and they gave me a key. The hallways are dingy and dirty with patched walls. The elevators are slow, jerky and contained cigarette butts. The room was atrocious with holes in the drop ceiling, and old non functional pull out couch that was not made up as promised, a tiny bath with towels for one person, a depressing kitchenette and one dim hanging light fixture. The furniture is old and tired and worn out. There are barely any accessible power outlets. There is no phone in the room to call downstairs. The front desk was mostly unstaffed. I asked for the sofa bed to be made up again to no avail. Eventually a tired old trundle bed for one person appeared. My children cried and begged to leave. The pool is green and smells very strong of chemicals and requires walking in the scary basement to access. We packed up and left because I did not feel safe staying here alone with children. This property appears to be a condo building, not a hotel. It is in desperate need of renovation and corporate oversight. They should not advertise that parking is included and then have no parking spots available for overnight guests. Never again.

My wife and I spent a week here and were very impressed by the hospitality of the staff, especially Alisa, the Operations Manager. Every request was handled promptly and with care, regardless of the time of day. We will happily return in July

Given that the resort building is nearly 100 years old, allowances must be made. However, the fact that we have consistently returned to this resort through the years clearly demonstrates that the positive attributes far outweigh any negative aspects.

Not much parking and the rooms are not super quiet, but, the location is fantastic and my stay was very enjoyable.
