Wir besuchten euer hotel / restaurant am 15. april zum z nacht.. Wir bestellten stroganoff für 2 personen und staunten nicht schlecht, als 5 plattenwärmer aufgestellt wurden.., für fleisch, 5 erlei gemüse, gratin, nudeln.. Es war ein absoluter traum, alles war super gekocht.. uhh grosse portionen, 2 teller.. und auch der service war sehr freundlich.. So macht auswärtsessen spass.. Es war mein geburtstag und er wird für mich unvergesslich bleiben..

Dieses mal war es einfach nicht wie vor einem Jahr. Preis/leistung stimmt nicht, Rindsfilet mit Salat als Fitnessteller. Rindsfilet war zäh und hatte sehnen im Fleisch, garstufe war nicht wie angegeben. Der Salat bestand aus 60% Grüne Salatblätter die zäh waren, viel geschmacklose Tomaten und noch etwas kabis, das ganze einfach lieblos…Service war ok.

Das Essen ist sehr gut! Leider können die Bedienungen kein Wort Deutsch. Wir mussten uns den 2.Gang Châteaubriand leider selber schöpfen, da die nette Dame nicht mehr auftauchte. Ein NoGo für 114.- Das geht wirklich gar nicht... Peinlich! 😕😕😕

Hotelzimmer telefonisch reserviert, bei Anreise jedoch keine Reservation gefunden?? Hotel war ausgebucht und uns konnte kein Zimmer mehr zugeteilt werden. Mussten abends selbst ein anderes Hotelzimmer suchen…

We are just back from 5 great nights in Hotel Du Pont. The staff are the best you could get especially Isabelle who served our meals on many occasions., and the two lovely Italian waitresses, sorry I don't know their names. The food is amazing and they must have a great chef to produce the menu that he or she did and all cooked to perfection. One of our party is a trained chef and she was very impressed with the food. Christian went above and beyond what was expected of him when he saw that my sunglasses were lying on the table, broken. He immediately said he would take them and get them fixed for me, which he did, I was blown away by his kindness. It may not be the most modern hotel but there are other things that are more important than that, great staff, lovely food and very comfortable and clean rooms. It is wheelchair accessible with a lovely shower in the disabled room. It is the perfect location to do a bit of retail therapy. I hope to return to Brig and I would not even look for another hotel I would go straight to Hotel Du Pont.

Wollte kurz was einfaches zu Mittagessen. Vom Chef in Shorts und überfreundlichem Walliserdütsch empfangen und hab draussen Platz genommen. Hab das von der Servierperson empfohlene Tagesmenü: "Salat oder Suppe, Walliser Steak (vom Schwein) mit Frites und etwas Gemüse" genommen. Der Salat war eines Restaurants nicht würdig. Das Wallisersteak mit Gemüse war okay. Schock kam bei der Rechnung. Für das Tagesmenü wurde mir Fr. 33.- verrechnet. Bis Fr. 25.- hätte ich noch akzeptiert. Alles darüber ist Abzockerei und das im katholischen Brig. Einmal und nie wieder und vor allem alle meine Freunde warnen. Leider kam die Abratung eines Walliserkollegen zu spät.

We werden in dit hotel geplaatst als overbrugging naar ambulancevervoer naar Nederland, met als criterium dat het hotel geschikt was voor een invalide. We kregen de beschikking over een prima kamer met zicht op de Marktplatz. Kamer was voorzien van een invalidebadkamer, en lift naar de verdieping. Heel aardige bediening; omdat we heel vroeg opgehaald werden konden we zelfs op zondag om 6 uur ‘s ochtends ontbijten. Vanuit het hotel ben je in 5 minuten op het station van Brig. Binnen loopafstand ligt ook een grote COOP. Gezellig plein voor het hotel. Je kan hier zeker goed eten, met name Italiaans.

Heute haben wir unsere Mittagspause (Mittagessen) im du Pont Brig verbracht. Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt wie immer. Da wir aber dort nicht „Stammgäste“ respektiv nicht -3mal pro Woche das Arbeitermenue einnehmen, bezahlten wir für das gleiche Mittagsessen mit einem Getränk Fr. 75.— Für diesen Preis essen wir abends à la carte. Zum Glück gibt es in Brig / Naters noch normale Restaurants mit Tagesmenus W+B
