The hotel looks nice but the service is strange. They say they are friendly but they are wrong. They answered incorrectly about skiing spots and thermal waters. I couldn't switch the TV to programs. The employee answered that she doesn't watch and doesn't know. Press different buttons. Try. A strange answer. There is no kettle even on request. Only a coffee machine. Overall it's tolerable but I won't go again as my expectations for an expensive hotel were not met.

A very nice, clean and quiet hotel just a 10 minute walk from the train station. Bedding was very comfortable, bathroom a bit tight but to be expected. Dinner was one of the finest meals I have had in a long time so make sure you eat there. The innkeeper was very friendly and we had a nice chat about many interesting things. Breakfast buffet was outstanding

I booked this for an overnight stay for our journey to Italy the next morning. The hotel has a great location by the train station, very clean and quiet. The dinner was excellent, one of the best in a long time. Excellent presentation, flavor and portions. Very much enjoyed our conversation with the owner.

We stayed here for 4 nights in April as part of our Great Railway Journeys tour. The hotel is very attractive and in a really good location with an easy stroll into the centre and a few minutes walk to the station. It's really well managed with simple, immaculately clean and perfectly equipped rooms including fridge and coffee machine. We had a small balcony with chairs and table which was a nice addition in the lovely sunny weather. The highlight was the food. Breakfast was really good - the best we've had for a long time and our evening meals were outstanding. The staff are very welcoming and we felt really cared for by Colin who recently joined the team to support groups like ours. Excellent stay.

Ein unvergesslicher Aufenthalt – herzlich, köstlich, einzigartig! Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns im Hotel Ambassador im dazugehörigen Restaurant willkommen und bestens aufgehoben gefühlt. Das gesamte Team – ausnahmslos alle Mitarbeitenden – war nicht nur extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit, sondern auch hervorragend informiert. Jeder wusste über unsere Reservierung Bescheid, als hätte man sich persönlich auf uns gefreut. Was dieses Haus wirklich besonders macht, ist die aufrichtige Herzlichkeit: Hier ist wirklich jeder willkommen – von unserer 7-jährigen Enkelin bis zur 85-jährigen Onkel. Selbst kleine Gesten wie eine Vase für die gepflückten Wiesenblumen der Kinder zeugen davon, mit wie viel Liebe zum Detail hier gearbeitet wird. Hier bleibt niemand vergessen - und das sagt alles! Das Essen? Einfach himmlisch! Das Spargelgericht war ein Gedicht, perfekt zubereitet, und der Kellner bot uns sogar an, mit noch extra Kartoffeln zu erhalten – ohne großes Aufheben, sondern mit einem Lächeln. Die Lage, das Ambiente, der Service – es war ein Geschenk. Und wir können mit Sicherheit sagen: Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder. Ein großes Dankeschön an das gesamte Team – ihr habt uns nicht nur beherbergt, sondern berührt.

a real find at a major railway interchange
very late arrival due to Cornergrat railway closure (spent 3hours trapped at 3000 feet!) was quickly checked in with still time to eat in the excellent restaurant. nice small room but with every facility. scrummy brekky with smoked salmon bacon & eggs- recommended

Good location for the old town and rail station. Rooms of a decent size, very clean and super breakfast. Only 10 min walk to shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and a big thank you to Colin the waiter who was superb. I would stay here again if in Brig.
