A 3 star hotel with some 5 star amenities and service. Very professional and joyful service from housekeeping, reception, dining etc and including owner Paul’s excellent sense of humour. Sunday roast good quality food superbly cooked - likewise breakfast. Bedroom - luxury and beautiful wall coverings; extremely comfortable mattress, enjoyed en-suite whirlpool bath whilst watching t.v. sited at end of bath, with excellent sound and picture reception - a fun and enjoyable experience. We’ve just returned from a wonderful weekend at Haddon House. The location is absolutely beautiful, just a two-minute walk to the bay, yet set slightly back so it’s peaceful and quiet. The staff were exceptional, incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which really made the experience special. The hotel itself has a lovely old-fashioned charm, with spacious rooms full of character. Ours had a beautifully modern bathroom with a jacuzzi bath and even a TV…..a perfect touch of luxury. As it’s an older building, there’s no air conditioning, and we happened to stay during a particularly hot weekend. However, a fan was provided, and with the window open, a nice breeze kept the room comfortable. We also appreciated the in-room iron and ironing board…very handy! While the room didn’t have a fridge, which was a bit of a letdown at first, the staff were kind enough to provide a jug of cold water to keep us going through the night. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and although we didn’t try the evening meals, the menu looked great and the restaurant seemed popular with locals….always a good sign! The bar and outdoor seating areas were also lovely places to relax with a drink. Overall, a charming hotel in a fantastic location with top-notch service. We’d happily return!
