Winston House

Had a great stay in Winston House this weekend. Room was clean and the bed was really comfortable for a great night's sleep. Free parking was a big plus and made the room great value. The free tea, coffee and biscuits were an added bonus. They even had plates and cutlery for my meal.

Stayed for 2 nights. Decent price compared to others nearby by so we got what we paid for. Very small room, tiny shower room and separate toilet room. The window was broken in the toilet so didn’t shut properly and the neighbours were noisy and the lights stopped working mid trip. However, the beds were very comfy, we were close enough to the town centre so a good location, a good working smart TV. We were also able to check in late evening and street parking outside the hotel was free. The host was kind and allowed us to extend our parking pass after we’d checked out so that we could spend another day out. We also had a kettle, tea bags and biscuits in the room.

I have been to this particular hotel numerous times this year. I travel a lot and work all over the country. But lately I have spent a lot of time in East Riding . Mike is a very pleasant guy and very helpful. Rose and Todds could not do enough to please the customers. I have spent time in numerous room in this hotel. They were all value for money. The place is quiet, adequately heated when its cold and very welcoming. Free internet, free drinks and towels are a bonus. The owner does his best to maintain the room which are adequately decorated. You get adequate fluffy pillows to meet your own need unlike other hotels in the country. Bedsheets and carpets are clean. You get a good view of the beach as well in some of the rooms. My favourite room is Room 5. However, parking can be difficult some times but I have always been able to park somewhere. I highly recommend this place.

Booked this on impulse as a last minute trip to bridlington. Wanted a cheap 2 night stay with parking & en suite,which this accommodation offered.got parking permit free.ended up on the top floor in a bigger room than first offered.bedding was clean,double bed not so comfy but ok.shower was temperamental, ice cold or scalding hot.1 bath sheet,1 bath towel provided between the 2 of us rather than 2 of each.usual complimentary tray of coffee etc,but had to ask for extra milk the 2nd day,as tray not replenished.could do with a bit of modernising as mis matched furniture,no hairdryer,travel kettle,tv,( you do get guest body wash and shampoo) window looked out onto scruffy looking houses,so not good view.however,great location for shops,pubs and all other amenities. I paid via card on arrival and host was pleasant enough.no food option here but plenty of choices a few mins walk.

Very friendly and warm atmosphere. Excellent value for money. Bed was comfortable and room was cosy. First visit to Bridlington, which is a lovely seaside resort full of characters, cafes and good food, economically priced. No hesitation in recommending this guest house to stay at for one or more nights. Also, free parking!

The building smelt of dampness as soon as you came in through the front door and carried on throughout the building. The hall was dark and strangely decorated. The carpet on the stairs and in the room was tired and not fitted well. The room needed painted and freshed up was quite dirty looking. Just felt damp and dingy. The shower did not work properly. Settings were either too cold or scolding hot. There were no toiletries available. Television was in room, but not when we checked in. The owners were friendly and the location was fine but overall I was very disappointed with the accommodation. I'd go as far as to say it's the worst place I've stayed in to date. Never again. All you want is a clean and fresh environment with clean bedding, and this was certainly not the case. I would not recommend it to my worst enemy. I'd advise paying a bit more for somewhere decent if you are planning a stay in Bridlington. Wasn't for us at all, very poor.
