No heating on and uncomfortable no space in shower/toilet

Lovely b and b We had a lovely stay at the trinity double bed comfy and clean fresh sheets. Bunk beds in kids room ok bit squeaky. Plenty of tea and coffee in room.

Very very poor hospitality I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT PLACE to anybody as my family and myself had a terrible experience. We were not offered the room we actually booked on the website. The room we were given upon arrival was small for four people two adults and two children in one small room for 3 days, it was dark and we bearly could breath. No privacy compared to the room we actually booked online. When we enquired about it we were told that was the room we booked which was not. That room we booked online was the only room avaible for a family sleep 4 at that time with privacy separated room with bunk bed for children and one double bed. The room was separated by a door. No picture on our booking to show as evidence. Our given room was dirty with dust in places chlothes and illegal substances were found in one of the drawers we threw in the bin and a nebuliser was also found in the bunk bed which means the room was not thoroughly clean and checked for the next customer. We did not get any housekeeping service at all during our 3 days stay. On their website it stated no towels and bed sheets available i had to ring the guest house to clarify that, i think they should update their website. The toilet was not working properly struggled to flush. In addition the reviews on the website stated excellent for that guest house which i think did not match our experience which i feel was very poor unless people are being treated differently according to preferences. As a family we will never go back there.

Upon arrival, the host didn't mention breakfast. When I went to have a shower, the hot water tap didn't work. The owner tried to fix the shower, but we were left with a trickle to shower in. The plastic shower mat had hair on it. The decor was outdated and wallpaper was peeling off the walls. The towels were rough and old. There were stains on the bed sheets. Overall cleanliness was bad. We did not recieve breakfast in the morning. Will not be returning as not worth the money.

Having stayed here now for my 5th time i thought it was high time i left a review. The hosts David and Linda are lovely, both caring and professional, but will go the extra mile for there guests. The rooms have recently undergone redecoration, to a smart, modern clean style, with nods to the history of the building and surrounding's. Bed was comfortable with lovely bedding and pillows. The B&B itself is going through a resurgence, and led by David, they are making great strides to provide what people come to expect now. Having local chefs previously running a pop up restaurant from there premises, was a stoke of genius not to mention tasty! Food as always was hot, tasty and welcomed. The front bar is welcoming and just the place to sit and play games, read a book, and have a drink from the bar. Look forward to staying again.

Just had another wonderful weekend with Dave and Linda. The rooms have all just been redecorated and we had room 1. Stayed in that room before and loved the new look they've done to it. The breakfast was perfectly cooked, as usual, and we were welcomed back more like friends than returning customers. Cannot fault anything about both the hotel or the hosts. Looking forward to staying here again. Couldn't recommend highly enough for anyone to stay here. First class.
