We booked this venue for my daughter’s wedding in November. At first, we were delighted with the venue photos on their website, only to find out later that one photo was not of their venue, but of another venue called Sandylane. This photo was one of the deciding factors which lead us into choosing Bellevue, as it presented an indoor option for the wedding in case of rain. When we found out this was falsely advertised, it was too late and we had already paid a deposit, so committed to this venue which only has an outdoor option for a medium sized wedding. Closer to the wedding now, we found out that this venue was used to host an event a few days before the wedding which left the grounds in a delapidated condition, making it unfit for purpose. On top of that management were unresponsive to our messages with days to go before the wedding day as we made attempts to discuss our options. When they finally responded, they were rude , and not willing to provide a suitable Option that could SAFELY host 150 guests . We were also faced with harassing emails from the owner whilst we were working hard on our own to prepare an alternative venue option with less than 2 days to go. This whole experience has made me very stressed and feeling sad for my daughter. It has changed my whole view of Barbados and the way they do business. Even after failing to provide safe ceremony options for the wedding , they refused to reimburse us the money we paid.
