We stayed here for two nights with our dog while we played at Twin Lakes. We really loved how dog friendly they are, and they don’t charge a crazy fee like other places do. The room was clean and cozy, cabin style with all the amenities. The AC was very loud but did the job. Thank god they have grills there because Bridgeport is lights out by 7. There are still a few dining options open later, but expect to pay $$$ to eat mediocre food. Our second night there we grilled bacon wrapped hotdogs while getting attacked by man eating mosquitos. Obviously the mosquitoes are not their problem, but be warned, this place is by water. The pool and jacuzzi were small and old, but very clean. There were only a few small things we weren’t crazy about. The lock on the door when you leave is just on the door handle, you can only deadbolt it while inside. It was very un-sturdy and anyone trying hard enough could break it open. We also didn’t like that the deadbolt says “vacant” when it’s unlocked. This is the reason we believe staff came into our room one day when we left the AC on while gone for a few hours, it was turned off when we came back. We asked the front desk for an extra pillow and were basically told “what you see is what you get” and they don’t have extras. Lastly, some local kids swarmed the pool on the last night and basically forced us to leave. Besides those hiccups, it was still a very lovely stay and we would stay there again.
