Delighted with my one night stay at Bodie hotel. a definite unreserved recommendation. Overall i would say this was one of the best hotels i stayed at in my 24 night 15 hotel road trip around Nevada, Arizona, Utah and California balancing the location, quality and price of stay. Its a lovely small independent hotel, that delivered exactly what they advertised. i enjoyed the classic feel, and the room was comfortable, clean. its light on modern amenities e.g. No TV but the Wifi worked fine to stay in contact - and thats all i wanted. The service was excellent, it was nice to be individually shown to the room, and given personal recommendations on the dining options in town. The location is in middle of the small town, opposite the courthouse and within a couple of blocks of a garage with general store and restaurants. I chose rhinos for dinner and bridgeport inn for breakfast. Bridgeport is an ideal location to visit bodie ghost town state park next day, and well suited on the way to yosemite which ever pass you take. thankfully Tioga pass was open just before we needed it but it was also convenient for our back option of Sonora pass which opened earlier.
