Stayed over Christmas as a family with a dog. What a lovely stay, from Ryan checking us in to the great rooms we stayed in. Really friendly staff (didn't get everyone's names unfortunately) and we loved the pool. Definitely will go back!

The work was completed ahead of schedule, and the last night cancellation was acceptable. Thank you very much. The hotel's meals are also good.

On first arrival the place looked underwhelming considering how expensive the nightly rate was. Room was basic with no fridge. And no bigger than a Premier Inn at half the price. I booked for a birthday night away and the room had been kind enough to leave a card and chocolates which was a nice touch but with a card on the small bottle of wine, if I drink it, I will be charged £8. No aircon in the room but very confortable bed, although the white quilt cover had marks on it. The dinning room was dreadful. Like a school canteen and everything on the cheap. Plastic chairs and plastic tables. No tablecloths for an evening meal. Food was mediocre and again appeared on the cheap.i.e an over gelatined pannacotta with 3 cheap short bread round biscuits straight out of a packet as a side show. I had booked a treatment at the time of booking but when I checked in the evening, no booking was recorded and no available spaces. Breakfast was so basic it did not warrant the £20 pp they charge as part of room rate. Best Western are way below par and totally let down the hard working and friendly staff that are trying to magic something out of nothing at this venue and deserve way more from their employer. I will not book another Best Western again. There are far better places who offer more at cheaper prices. (Room £182 inc 2 x breakfast). Sorry to the staff . You really deserve better.

I arrived at the hotel and there was an issue with my booking but the manager, Zara and other front desk staff were brilliant and sorted it out for me. The room was a superior room and was a good sized shower with a lovely bathroom and large shower, it was clean and kept that way by the staff . The food was excellent especially the evening meal, myself and my colleagues were so impressed, thanks to all the kitchen staff. The gym was smallish but functional for a runner like myself with all the equipment I needed. The pool area was so relaxing with a sauna and steam room. I must admit I had some preconceptions about best western but they were blown away. A lovely hotel with such brilliant staff and you should all be proud of the service you give. Thanks again Zara and keep up the good work, I 100% recommend .

Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay with our 3 pooches. Room was perfect size and comfortable bed. Lovely hot shower and great breakfast. Very accommodating with the dogs - can eat in bar area which is spacious or outside. Really good value for money. Service was excellent and a friendly welcome - would definitely stay here again when next in area. Thank you! 🤩🐕‍🦺🐕‍🦺🐕💕

Honestly don’t even know where to start with this one Came this weekend for my surprise hen party and was made to feel so embarrassed and appalled at this hotel. We had booked a weekend package and it was an absolute shambles from start to finish. Friday - On the first night we came into the restaurant to be met with attitude, stinking looks and a young blonde waitress that went out of her way to make us all feel uncomfortable by slamming water jugs onto the table and spraying cleaning spray very close to us on more than one occasion. I honestly don’t know why we were treated this way, we weren’t rowdy or causing any issues we were just having a quiet family meal because even though it was a hen party it was a quiet family hen. I was made to feel so uncomfortable at the meal that I couldn’t eat anything at all. When we spoke to the manager regarding this we were told she’s young and inexperienced and they would have a word. Saturday - during breakfast my sister asked for some vinegar and that same rude waitress was heard loudly saying ‘ why? Who has vinegar with a cooked breakfast’ not that that’s any of her business and maybe needs to be reminded to keep her personal opinion to herself. We were all booked in for a spa day and afternoon tea the spa treatment was lovely but when it came down to lunch it wasn’t what was advertised when we booked as we were told afternoon tea but it was a sandwich on a plate with some wedges, when we asked about the afternoon tea we were told that it wasn’t in our package even though we had emails confirming. At lunch my meal wasn’t made even though I had put my order in so I was left waiting while everyone else was eating and it was eventually brought out 20 minutes later and was made on very cheap thin bread and was utterly tasteless, again I didn’t eat it. Sunday- When booking we were sent an email with our itinerary explaining we were booked in for our breakfast at 10am, when we went down for breakfast at 9.45 we were told that that wasn’t right and we shouldn’t of been told that and that’s the time they close, when we tried to explain thats the time we had been booked in we were again met by attitude from the manager who couldn’t seem to understand our frustration at once again being left not knowing what was going on on a weekend that cost my family over 2 thousand pounds. Only 3 people out of our 8 had breakfast as the rest of us couldn’t bare to be sat in that restaurant dealing with this anymore. Then to make matters worse on check out we were told we all needed to pay for desserts we had Friday even though we had several emails to prove we had paid for a three course meal when we booked and paid for the weekend we were once again told by a manager that whoever had booked us all in and arranged the weekend had made a mistake and we all had to pay regardless of what was agreed when booking. At this point tensions were high because we were utterly humiliated at how we had been treated, the manager the
