Brian Head Lodge

The rooms are spacious and lovely. The location is spectacular. We stayed only one night as their boiler needed repair and there was no hot water. They were gracious in refunding our money. However, the beds were very hard and every time the air conditioner turned on during the night, it made a racket that my husband thought he was hearing the spin cycle on a washing machine. It felt like we got no sleep at all.

Very nice room with very comfy bed. Super clean. The pool was too cold for me, but my husband enjoyed it. The hot tub needs to be cleaned up and the windows. But overall the place is very clean.

The staff was very friendly. . We took our two puppies and had a great stay. Rooms are very nice and the food in the restaurant was good too. It’s also in a great location. We visited Brian and then also went to Duck Creek and Cedar Breaks. Very nice accommodations and was reasonably priced.

Hotel is nice, well organized, clean, everything is in wood then always looks and keeps warm in winter or spring. Rooms are comfortable and smells very good. The only bad thing was that pool wasn’t available during our stay and pillos on the beds aren’t too good. The rest, hotel is Amazon with a good level of service

An Absolute Travesty: Brian Head Lodge Is a Masterclass in Incompetence If you are considering staying at Brian Head Lodge, do yourself a favor: don’t. This dilapidated, woefully mismanaged establishment is a black hole of hospitality, a monument to apathy and incompetence. From the moment you try—and fail—to contact them by phone, it becomes painfully clear: no one is home, literally or figuratively. Staffing: Negligence in Motion The lodge is chronically understaffed to the point of absurdity. Phones go unanswered no matter how long you call—assuming the lines are even functioning. If, by some miracle, you show up in person, prepare for a 15-minute (or longer) wait at the front desk, watching one overwhelmed and disinterested staff member shuffle papers and avoid eye contact while a line of exhausted guests snakes behind you. Customer service is not merely bad—it’s nonexistent. The lodge operates like a ghost ship run by amateurs who couldn't care less. The “Free” Ski Pass Scam The much-hyped “free ski pass” is a bait-and-switch insult. To obtain it, guests must navigate an infuriating gauntlet of arbitrary rules, last-minute conditions, and miscommunications that feel intentionally designed to discourage redemption. You’ll find yourself wasting hours chasing down vague instructions, only to be told you didn’t “meet the requirements” or “missed the deadline”—even when you clearly didn’t. Room Cleanliness: A Joke at Your Expense Housekeeping is another exercise in futility. Your room will not be cleaned unless you specifically request it the night before. But here's the kicker—you can’t make the request because nobody answers the phone, and front desk access is a marathon ordeal. Even if you somehow manage to get through, there's no guarantee anything will actually happen. Guests have returned to find trash untouched, beds unmade, and towels unrefreshed for the entirety of their stay. Conclusion: Avoid Like the Plague Brian Head Lodge is a staggering failure on every level: atrociously managed, offensively indifferent, and thoroughly incapable of delivering even the most basic of services. Its so-called amenities are smoke and mirrors; its service is a farce. Any money spent here is money wasted. Choose literally any other lodging option. Camping in your car would be cleaner, more efficient, and far less frustrating. One star is too generous. This place deserves to be shut down.
