Hotel med hovedvægt på restauranten. Værelset var ældre, men rent og pænt. Aircondition kunne ikke køle værelset ned. Pool med kun 3 solstole. Poolen lå lige foran restauranten, så man havde ikke lyst til at benytte den til frokost og aften. Dejlig kølig pool. Vi spiste ikke i restauranten.

One of the best small hotels in France, in a fabulous, quiet location overlooking Grenoble and soaring mountains. We have been staying here for over ten years, en route through France, and this is invariably one of the hotels choose . It is consistently top level, yet relaxed and very welcoming. To us it is almost like coming home. It is comfortably old fashioned, eccentrically decorated, often amusingly so, with a myriad of ornaments which change for the season. Christmas is a special time here, with the added attraction of the log fire. The young staff are always attentive and efficient. Of course the restaurant is its mainstay , being much loved in the city, and we always eat well here , with a good wine list to choose from.

At first glance, we were won over by the hotel, its decoration and especially its exceptional setting but we quickly became disillusioned. To begin with, no air conditioning in the room (or faulty because it was hot), so we had to open the windows when we arrived. Big mistake, a truck remained parked in front of the window for more than an hour, engine running and doors slamming several times in the early evening. Second, our bedroom was probably located above the kitchen, as we could hear the commotion during the evening meal rush. No sound insulation. That evening we also had a power cut... No message from the team, no one worried about whether it had been a problem.. Then woke up at 5 a.m. by the truck trash which we were also not informed about. A little note when handing over the keys cost nothing. When we left, no one asked us how our stay was. In short, we are extremely disappointed with the service for a 4* which must normally meet criteria of comfort, quality of service and staff. We had specifically chosen this hotel to be able to rest in a quality establishment after a day of driving / physical activity and we were wrong..
