Einmal in einem Schloss wohnen! Isabelle und Jérôme sind aufmerksame und freundliche Gastgeber. Sie pflegen und unterhalten dieses riesige Anwesen mit vereinten Kräften. Gerne erzählen sie von der langen Geschichte des Anwesens, lassen uns den Wein aus ihrem Weingut testen oder verwöhnen uns beim Frühstück mit selbst gemachter Marmelade.

Een kasteel met een ontspannen warm onthaal. Heerlijke slaapkamer en bad"zaal" met prachtig parket. Het al ingericht met smaak en zin voor confort. Een heerlijk zacht, ruim en warm bed, degelijke washanddoeken en een oud gezellig bad waar je met twee in kan... , frisse ochtend met mooi uitzicht vanuit de ramen op de vallei van de Grosne. Ontbijt in de eetkamer met open haard en huisgemaakte confituur. Een stap terug in de goede oude gezellige tijd. Een gedroomd oord voor liefhebbers van eenvoud en authenciteit. Droomlocatie om de streek te verkennen met een rijk aanbod op gebied van zowel natuur als cultuur. Gastvrouw Isabelle en gastheer Jerôme doen hun uiterste best om alles naar wens te doen verlopen. Proficiat en doe zo verder !

Stayed there for two nights as is has been part of our round trip and was highly recommended. The place itself is marvellous and really beautiful. Of course, there is still an awful lot of work to do to renovate the Château, but the necessities are mostly done though not all is in best order and needs at least sone dusting. But you feel like a chatelaine. Unfortunately there is no highspeed internet as advertised, which is no problem at all but one should know. The owner especially he, try to make your stay as nice as possible but it does not always work out the way it should. There were moments of silence due to language barriers which made it sometimes hard to bear. All in all it was good, but there is something missing which is hard to put in words……

Auf der Durchreise war ich mit meinem Sohn hier für eine Nacht und wir fühlten uns wie Schlossherrn. Mein Sohn (4) rannte die ganze Zeit ums Schloss herum und der Schlosshund (sehr kinderfreundlich) leistete Gesellschaft. Der Garten ist ein Traum, überall Sitzgelegenheiten. Einzigartige, riesige Bäume. Sehr nette Besitzer. Wir fühlten uns sehr, sehr wohl.

Das gesamte Schloss und der dazugehörige Park mit den riesigen alten Bäumen besitzen eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer, das mit schönen alten Möbeln und einem bequemen Bett eingerichtet ist. Von den Fenstern hat man an einer Seite Ausblick auf den Innenhof und einen Teil des historischen Gebäudes, an der anderen Seite auf den Park und einen kleinen Teich. Das Bad (mit Dusche und Badewanne) ist relativ groß und gut ausgestattet, alles sauber und funktionstüchtig. Am Frühstücksbuffet gab es außer Brot, Croissants und köstlichen hausgemachten Marmeladen auch heimischen Käse, Früchte und Joghurt. In Chapaize (wenige Fahrminuten mit dem Auto) gibt es zwei ausgezeichnete Restaurants. Isabelle und ihr Mann Jérôme sind ausgesprochen nette, unaufdringliche Gastgeber und schaffen es, eine familiäre und angenehme Atmosphäre zu kreieren. Wir haben uns im Schloss sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein Fehler unsererseits bezüglich der Länge unseres Aufenthalts wurde völlig unkompliziert gelöst, an dieser Stelle nochmals vielen Dank für die problemlose Verlängerung!
