My husband and I stayed at Hotel Erna in Colle Isarco on our way home from Abruzzo, Italy to Germany. Hotel Erna is near the very cute town of Vipiteno, where I had visited once before. I thought it would make a good stop for shopping, and I was right! We arrived to a warm welcome on rainy Friday evening. Since our visit was during the off season, the restaurant was closed. However, there are two little shops within walking distance of the hotel. There's also a train station right by the hotel, and you can get free train fare with the tourist card you get when you check in. We had a corner room with two big balconies that overlooked the scenic area. The room was otherwise fairly basic, but nice. They'd even arranged our duvets into hearts! What really blew me away, though, were the delicious, warm crescent rolls at breakfast. They weren't flaky like croissants, but were more like rolls filled with sweet paste and topped with toasted almonds. They were SO good! Hotel Erna had plenty of free parking during our visit, and there was even a tennis court in the back. Unfortunately, it rained and snowed during our visit. We enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to families. It's very clean and well run, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I'd go back!

Very friendly welcome, charming room, and great breakfast. I especially enjoyed the crescent rolls! It's right by a train station, and you can get a pass that allows free train travel though Bolzano. And if you play tennis, the hotel has a court!

Di solito non faccio recensioni su albergo, ma questa volta devo fare un'eccezione. La settimana scorsa ho prenotato online una camera singola per una notte. Per un problema all'automezzo ho dovuto posticipare la prenotazione di un giorno. "Nessun problema" mi risponde la titolare, ed io "ho letto che il check-in si chiude alle ore 20. Non so se riesco ad arrivare in tempo" la titolare "non si preoccupi, la posso aspettare fino alle 22". Bene, arrivo alla sera, ricevo la chiave della camera (carina, curata, spaziosa e un bel bagno grande) e vado a dormire. La mattina scendo per la colazione e vedo che sono l'unico: "ma sono l'unico ospite?" la titolare: "sì! dovevamo chiudere ieri, ma visto che lei ha posticipato di un giorno lo faremo oggi!" Insomma, hanno tenuto aperto solo per me!!!! La titolare è di una gentilezza unica. Per quanto riguarda il cibo, la colazione (internazionale) ottima con prodotti freschissimi. Insomma, questo albergo lo terrò presente per quanto capiterò di nuovo in zona, e comunque lo consiglio vivamente perchè, oltre ad essere piccolo (ha solo 15 camere) e accogliente, si trova a pochi metri dalla stazione di Colle Isarco, quindi comodissimo per chi vuole muoversi senza lo stress del parcheggio per visitare Vipiteno, Merano, Bressanone, Innsbruck.
