We booked last minute for a double room. The check in was smooth and the room is very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and they have a lounge with free coffee that you can relax in. We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was good and the portion was generous.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis et je voudrais tirer un coup de chapeau à ces petits hôteliers restaurateurs islandais qui laissent leur établissement ouvert contre vents et marées en ces temps difficiles et surtout quand les conditions climatiques en mettent une couche supplémentaire. Nous étions les seuls clients, sous une tempête de neige, quand nous sommes arrivés, et ca n'a pas empêché un accueil cordial et professionnel, un accès à une belle chambre et surtout ça n'a pas empêché un très bon diner pour lequel nous avons vu la cuisinière se déplacer spécialement pour aller chercher du poisson frais au port tout proche. Bravo à vous pour ce bel établissement, ce savoir-faire et surtout ce sens de l'hospitalité

Was end of the season so very quiet, but was a perfect overnight stop off on our drive around the island. Lovely people and a really great meal from the hotel restaurant.

We loved our stay here! It is a very small town and not much to do but the staff was so lovely. We used the hot tub, cold plunge, and the sauna. We borrowed some robes which made the whole experience really nice. The staff lit a large candle for us and brought out water. We even saw a massive show of the northern lights right over the hotel two times! The bedding wasn’t the most comfortable but the room was lovely, lots of space, and had a smart TV to watch Netflix. I would stay here again and highly recommend. Also free coffee and tea which was perfect!

It was a nice one night stay. I was not briefed properly about the breakfast & it was charged. Otherwise a good stopover.
