The Grange Guest House

From the booking to checkout, everything was seamless. Kathleen and David were wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in had everything we needed for a two night stay and was exceptionally clean. The beds were comfy and the decor was beautifully done. The toiletries were lovely too. Our son was ready to give a ten star review after the first night and a delicious breakfast, high praise indeed! Nothing was too much trouble and we left with full tummies both mornings. If you’re looking for a great place to stay whilst visiting Brecon, we would highly recommend staying here. Also free parking which was a bonus as on street parking would have been tricky. By the way, could you tell me where you got the lovely cushions on the bed please 😊

I cannot praise this bed and breakfast establishment enough. David and Kathleen are excellent hosts and have every right to be exceptionally proud of the guesthouse they run. It’s very clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. There is plenty of parking space behind the property which leads to a delightful garden where guests are invited to sit. I was even able to charge my EV overnight for no additional charge. Our room ( number 5) was large and well equipped with a spotless large bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, especially the local sausages and the fresh fruit and yogurt. David advised us on local restaurants and pubs and when we said we were going to Hay on Wye he told us where to park and gave us a guide to the bookshops there. I would certainly stay there again in a heartbeat.

Received a warm welcome from David and Kathleen. The Grange is beautifully decorated. Our bedroom was lovely, mattress very comfortable. Roomy en-suite. Varied times for the enjoyable breakfast, which we could have had in our room. David is an interesting host.

We stayed here for 2 nights when we came to Brecon for a family wedding. From the moment we arrived David and Kathleen were friendly and welcoming. While David showed my husband, teenage daughter and I to our room Kathleen showed my dad, who is in his late 90s to his room. Kathleen spent a great deal of time with my dad chatting to him, making sure he was comfortable and knew where everything was and how everything work. Her thoughtfulness and kindness in doing this was greatly appreciated by all of us. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and clean. My dad had the ground floor room and we had the attic room, both were great. Breakfast was excellent. The food is delicious and David provides the entertainment with friendly chat and recommendations of where to go and what’s on. If we are in on around Brecon we’d definitely stay here again.

Little gem Lovely little hotel in Brecon. The hotel owner were very welcoming and friendly. The room was really nice and a good location. Would happily come back.

The Grange is the most spotlessly clean accomodation one could ever hope for. Our room, no 5, was bright and spacious, with an equally large bathroom, newly refurbished. David and Kathleen provided everything you could need, from toiletries to tea/coffee and there was a little dining table/chairs as well as two comfortable easy chairs. It was a tranquil place to retreat to after busy days. It is very conveniently located, just a two minute walk to the centre of Brecon. Private parking is an added bonus! There is an enormous selection of books, guides, maps and local information. David and Kathleen are delightfully warm, attentive hosts, providing great choices for breakfast as well as good conversation. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
