A lovely quaint B&B steeped in history. Gail is amazing and very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and takes a lot of time to make you feel comfortable, familiarise you with the surroundings and local area. Always very bright, bubbly and chatty, as are the staff that work for her. The food is excellent and a wide range of choices for breakfast, the fry up will keep you going all day. Ideal place to stay when travelling to Brecon and enjoying the beauty of the surroundings.

A real gem of a place, minutes walk from the centre of Brecon town. Gail, the hostess, was very welcoming and a delight to chat with. We only stayed for one night, but would have no hesitation in recommending it as a great place. The room we occupied was the 'accessible' room, with a wet room. Towels and toiletries were provided, along with a hairdryer. Tea and coffee was readily available to make in the bedroom. Gail provided a small thermos of cold milk. A great night's sleep was achieved due to the fabulous comfort of the mattress (it made me realise that our mattress at home probably needs to be changed!). Breakfast was served between 8am and 9am and consisted of cereals, toast, a full cooked breakfast, along with orange juice, tea and coffee. Overall, this B& was a delightful surprise and the history of the building is summarised in the guest information booklet in the room - well worth a read!

We had such an amazing stay at Borderers. We were in Brecon for a week, so we had 6 nights at the B&B, and Gail made us so welcome from the start. The first thing she said to us was 'I love running a bed and breakfast' and that was so clear the whole week. She made us delicious breakfasts every day, surprising us with one yummy vegan breakfast after another, and gave us some brilliant recommendations for things to see in the local area. The room itself had everything you could need (though watch your head if you're on the taller end of the scale!) and we felt at home from the beginning. We will definitely be back!

We just had the best stay at The Borderers. Both Gail and Trevor made us feel really welcome, we loved the room which was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was great, generous and good quality. Good position with easy access to the town and eating places. Gail went out of her way to help when we had a problem (which was nothing to do with the accommodation) and we felt well and truly looked after. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.

Last minute request to stay in Brecon found this lovely B&B after quick email exchange between the owner Gail and myself was offered a twin room for one night they usually only accept two night minimum. i was travelling in my motorcycle and was pleased with the on site parking and hidden from view by locked doors into the court yard. Great breakfast and good value for money located close to City centre would stay here again.

Fantastic stay. Myself and 2 friends stayed for one night while we were on a bike packing trip round Wales. Gail is a fantastic host. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms are very comfortable and perfect after a long day in the saddle. Gail found us somewhere safe to store our bikes overnight. Breakfast was excellent and just what we needed before the next day of our adventure. I would highly recommend.

Yet again a perfect visit. Lovely room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was wonderful from the quiet man behind the scenes in the kitchen. and Gail could not be more helpful and friendly if she tried. Cannot fault it. Try staying here, it will be impossible to be anything but happy with your stay.
