Lovely hotel in beautiful location with great rooms. Needs more staff and hence service is lacking. Also could do with a decent bar as it would be an amazing place to sit and have adrink.

Had an amazing brunch experience! The prices are very reasonable (starting from £4.95), and the food is delicious. I can't recommend it enough. We enjoyed the pulled pork fries and had waffles for dessert. P.s. We've already made plans to return next week! 🙈😊

Llangoed Hall is a lovely place to stay. It is situated approximately 10 miles to the west of Hay on Wye. Our room was very spacious and wonderfully furnished. A surprise in the large bathroom was a TV - could be watched as you lay in the bath! The restaurant offered fine dining and we were not disappointed. The Hall is set in beautiful gardens and is only a few hundred metres from the River Wye, which can be easily accessed from the Hall. Further, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a really good stay with excellent dining.

Our reception was warm, friendly, and gracious. A young lady took us to our room and could not have done more to make us feel at home. She provided us with a much-needed pot of tea, cakes and sandwiches and a list of things we could see in the extensive and magnificent grounds. The Hall allows one to step back into history whilst being wrapped in a sense of homeliness and wellbeing. The accommodation was wonderful, each member of staff was attentive, friendly and professional. The food was outstanding; the whole experience was a joy. I wish to give all those responsible a very big "Thank You" on behalf of myself and my wife for such a refreshing and reinvigorating weekend. Arthur W Beattie MBE

Still a beautiful intimate country house hotel. Quality of furnishings and artwork retained and maintained. Rooms meet the same standards. Staff superb, friendly and on message. Food excellent, wines good. Location and views charming. Just lacks the love and care such a special place deserves, no fresh flowers, very tired dried arrangements and grounds maintained adequately but lost their fomer glory. But still a great and special place to stay for the price if guests use offers available.

What did we like?...EVERYTHING Stunning location with beautiful views, amazing property taking you back to a more gentler time in days gone by, from the moment you drive down the driveway. The attention to detail in our room was impeccable and there was nothing that the staff wouldn't do for you. For a relaxing break away from the norm I can not recommend this place highly enough. Hubby & I will definitely be going back

Had another visit to this country house hotel, and I have to say, I was really impressed! The staff were friendly and the whole atmosphere was warm and inviting. Since our last visit, the restaurant has made some noticeable improvements. The Lithuanian gentleman managing things is fantastic, and the service we received was truly exceptional. Sure, some of the decor might be a bit tired, but honestly, it didn’t bother us at all. The warm service and attention to detail made us feel right at home. Jeremy and the young lady (Abs)? running things behind the scenes appear to be doing a fantastic job of nurturing the venue, and it shows. In their response to a previous review, they mentioned wanting guests to leave thinking about when they’ll come back, and that’s exactly how we felt! I can't wait to return and see what other improvements they might make!
