Our recent team retreat took us to Breckenridge, where we discovered the perfect blend of work and relaxation at Hotel Alpenrock. The hotel gave us everything we needed: modern meeting rooms that kept our sessions productive and tons of outdoor patio space to enjoy fresh air on breaks. The restaurant on site, Edwin, was a highlight—amazing food, drinks, and even a band to enjoy live music. And when the day wrapped, we enjoyed the hidden speakeasy, Canary, for a nightcap. Being so close to Main Street meant we could easily wander, grab a coffee, or explore the local town. The hotel’s atmosphere made it easy to focus when needed and unwind when the time was right. It felt less like a corporate retreat and more like a shared experience.

Exceptional, new hotel. The menu and food at the Edwin are second to none. The rooms are large, clean, and offer amazing views. The hotel location adjacent to the mountain was ideal for hiking/mountain biking and the short walk to main street is a plus.

We booked this resort through the Amex Hotel Collection. I must say I regret doing so and will let Amex know I think this should be considered removed from that collection. While the nicest part of this hotel was the room, everything else was disappointing. They charge a daily resort fee, which I can see from other reviews on here is not adequately disclosed for many guests. The amenities here are quite frankly no better than a roadside chain budget motel. Resort fees are meant to be charged for places with above average amenities. That isn’t the case here. The front valet situation is an absolute mess and an apparent racket. They lost one of our cards at one point and were accusatory toward us for not having had it. They have cars parked all over the place in an unorganized fashion. They have people pulling their cars out after they are retrieved and the space is so tight to pull through I was constantly worried my car would get sideswiped. I think this valet service is run by an outside party (LAZ) from what I could see from some labels behind the valet stand, which explains why they don’t care. Further, we had our do not disturb sign out until 10:30 am and then removed it when we left thereafter to go rafting. Most hotels have their housekeeping staff do a second run to see if they rooms they passed over. Instead, we arrived back to a room that was never cleaned well past the time frame it would be reasonable to call for housekeeping to come back up. It took an inordinate amount of time for lots of people who were waiting around the hotel for their room to be ready even though it was past check in time for all. There were dozens of people like ourselves waiting for 1.5 plus hours for our room despite it being close to dinner time. This is not a good hotel. Find other accommodations if available.

We had higher expectations from a Hilton Curio Collection hotel. The staff was rude, uncaring, and unreliable. We had to beg for clean towels, pillows, and even a comforter to keep the kids warm at night. They initially only provided a single sheet for them. Expect hidden charges such as exorbitant resort fees. Their valet fee is a whopping $55 a night. The Nextdoor property of Beaver Run is only $15 a night. Even Breck Park across the street is cheaper. Their valets WILL try and convince you otherwise but the majority of people who we saw simply paid to park across the street. The hot tubs are derelict in both function and appearance. Expect missing control functions for the jets, missing or loose grout, and an ant problem. Half the jets worked, sometimes, the rest didn’t bother to show up. Decent location, but Hilton needs to invest in extra training, more competitive pricing, and consistent upkeep to make this hotel even close to worth it.

This review is based on our dinner, as I’ll leave a separate positive review for the hotel, as it deserves its own. We’ve recently gone on a rather extensive roadtrip and tried so many amazing restaurants… let me tell you - Edwin’s is truly phenomenal. Everything was ridiculously fresh, complex, and presented with such care - it was truly an experience. Everyone that helped us was so amazing, and Jean provided exceptional service! They even brought out a bucket of ice for our Prosecco to keep it chilled (a nice touch). They made sure that we had a memorable experience and my mom genuinely enjoyed it, as well. Such a pristine menu and the bar is not to be overshadowed - the bartender whips up some serious contenders. We can’t wait for dinner tomorrow! Thank-you for a wonderful meal.

HIDDEN FEES! The $55 valet parking is Mandatory. They hit you with a surprise $45 fee at check out called "resort fee" that "covers the amenities of the hotel" (like the...workout room, hot tubs [18 elevator rides away]...that...every...hotel...has....). Let your yes be yes and your no be no. List your costs and include these fees in the booking. The remodel is...nice....Trying to be "minimalist/upscale", and then they dress their front desk men in...gray...flannel.... So, I think they're going for an odd Expensive/Cabin/Millennials-with-money-please-come-here vibe? The "busboy" is either unspoken also mandatory or just pushy - even if you decline, he will accompany you to your room - friendly and will wait for you to tip. We came down to a late dinner and the restaurant had closed (despite the hours saying it was open). We stood at the lobby bar counter for over. 10. minutes....stood there...waiting for a bartender...ANY of the 3 bartenders in the very small bar area to acknowledge us. Nope, went on their breaks, came and went. Never responded.... Make sure you're the "right kind of" clientele for their esteemed tastes before you book here - Ready to spend extra undisclosed and unnecessary extra cash, but without high expectations for quality or service. May I recommend the Beaver Run Resort's Spencer's Steaks and Spirits right across the street - they were very nice and accommodating and delicious food!

Watch out for the hidden fees!!!! They would not credit our account after we pointedout the mistake. Our room had the electrical breaker trip and no electricity three times and took an hour to get it reset. Watch out electrical issues. We do not recommend this place.

Looks nice, but there are a lot of negatives. Cons: The only option for parking is $55 valet parking, which is quite expensive. There is also a $45 resort fee, which is just another way to add hidden costs. In our room with a sofa bed, the sofa bed only had a small thin blanket that covered half of the bed. To get to our room or the hot tubs it required two separate elevators and walking a very long hallway in between. The hot tub advertised being open until 10 pm, but the gate wouldnt open when badging at 9.

What an amazing hotel! Staff was well trained, sincere actions, every single interaction was personable and sincere. The location is great. The decoration, I don’t even know where to start. From the art work to the room amenities (clothes steamer in each room, slippers) this location is a great choice for a stay in Breckenridge. The FD Supervisor Celine is a hiker and gave me great tips of trails in the area. 5 out 5!
