Hotels with Breakfast in Dali Prefecture

Beautifully designed hotel with excellent high level views of Erhai. The room interiors are also toddler friendly - the bedside tables have chamfered edges (no sharp corners). They gave a super cute Pullman giraffe plushie too that was very good quality. Kid loved it so so much. More on the room tho. Really beautiful, very relaxing. Really nice seating area in front of the windows, I didn't want to check out. I didn't even want to leave the room during the stay. Breakfast buffet spread was also very delicious. Ate two bowls from the noodle bar and a bit of everything else in one sitting.

The view was truly amazing and the room was clean. Staff was really attentive as well and breakfast spread provided was good. One downside is the soundproofing wasnt that great and you can hear the water pipes/people climbing the stairs. So if you’re a light sleeper, you may wanna wear some ear plugs. They also collaborate with drivers for you to engage and tour around Dali, I think you can skip it as I feel the service provided by the driver wasnt that great. Overall I will still recommend this hotel for the view and the convenience of the location (just less than 10min drive away from the railway station and around 30min to oldtown).

I highly recommend Kegongdi! I booked it two months in advance. When the hotel learned that it was an anniversary, they upgraded the room type and decorated it. The hotel's toiletries are Bulgari, the hair dryer is Dyson, and the sanitary ware is Hansgrohe. It can be seen that they are of high quality. The breakfast is also very exquisite, and the cross-bridge rice noodles are delicious! Shaxi is really a place full of memories. Staycation in Kegongdi, drink coffee, look at the small bridges and flowing water in the ancient town, and experience the special Jiama and tile cats. This time, every brick and tile seems to tell the story of the caravan and the legend of the Bai people! It's a pity that the time I stayed was short and the weather was not satisfactory. I will experience their coffee next time!

We mistakenly came to Shaxi instead of Dali old town but this hotel made it all worthwhile visiting. The personal hospitality was exceptional, the 3 versions of breakfast was so delicious and plentiful, location was great within the pedestrian only area. Rooms were very clean and charming, the attention to detail is superb. We have traveled many places and stayed at nice grand hotels such as the Ritz Carlton before but the personal service to make you feel pampered is exceptional, from the evening offerings of hot goat milk before bedtime, afternoon tea reception, parting gift, and carrying our luggage’s to meet our taxi outside the pedestrian zone was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel location is excellent and very convenient. We initially thought we’d have to pull our luggage a long way, but we were pleasantly surprised that didi (China’s taxi service) could stop right in front of the hotel! There are plenty of food options nearby, all within walking distance. I like the most is nearby north gate there got alot hotpot choice if u lazy to walk didi also within 2dollar One of the hotel’s friendly (and handsome!) staff even helped us with our luggage, and the check-in process was super quick — we were able to check in immediately. The room was just right and even had a heater, which made our stay very comfortable. For this price, getting such a cozy hotel room is definitely a great choice, especially for foreigners looking to stay near Dali Ancient Town.

The B&B is in the ancient village of Nuodeng. Most of the houses here are built with rammed earth walls. They are very beautiful and special. We came during the National Day. Parking was difficult and we could only park far outside the village. Our luggage needed to be carried on mules, so we followed. I was panting heavily and sweating all over when I climbed to the B&B. The ancient villages are full of irregular stone steps. I can’t count how many steps I climbed. It was quite tiring. The environment of the B&B is good. You can see the scenery everywhere. You can stay on the terrace for a whole day and it’s not a waste of time. The room is not very clean, but it's okay under the general environment. However, the bathroom door is broken and does not close tightly. The bath water will spill out. The toilet is a bit wobbly. I hope it can be repaired if there is a chance. The food at the B&B was delicious, and the boss also gave us a taste of the home-brew wine, which was delicious. It's pet-friendly here. Several puppies came that day. The B&B has a kitten which is also very cute. There is a charging station not far outside the village, and there are service staff. There is no waiting for a table on holidays, which is great!

I recently stayed at a hotel in Dali, Yunnan, and had an overall pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the room and common areas was impressive — everything was well-maintained and tidy, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing. The service stood out as one of the highlights. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with directions or local recommendations. They made check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free. But would like to comment on the photoshooting service that this hotel provided, although they stated it’s free, but each room ONLY FREE 5 PIECES NON EDIT photos no matter how many days you stay. So please don’t ask for this service if you don’t want your pocket to have a hole 🤣, would recommend you to have the traditional costume shoot in Lijiang or Shangrila which will cost in cheaper price where they can provide costume rental and full make up. This hotel they charge a very high price for the photoshooting if you want to buy the photos from them. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lijiang, if they like photoshooting. Or else you can stay in other better choices hotels.

The property is very close to one of the entrances into the old town, so it was very easy to alight the car and just walk over, as cars are not allowed in the old town. First impression of the property was great, as there was a very well maintained garden filled with flowering plants, right when you entered the doors. Eric and Joyce, the friendly and warm owners of this lovely place, were there to greet us too! Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, it was a breeze chatting and learning more about Shaxi from the two of them! This is especially convenient for tourists who are from SG, MY, who may prefer to communicate in English or Cantonese! Rooms were very clean and heaters were available. There is no air conditioning, but frankly, you will not require that at all! The main street of the old town is just a casual walk away, perhaps just 5 mins from the property. But along the way, you would certainly stop by many spots to have pictures taken as the entire place is so scenic! The houses, the vibes, the courtyards etc, everywhere you turn and look, it's just beautiful. There is no lack of places to dine at, once you are at the old town, so despite the fact that the property does not include food, you will never go hungry. All in all, it was a great experience and we would highly recommend anyone who visits Shaxi to stay over at this awesome property!

Great location in the old town. Room was clean, had enough amenities but the heater was not working. My room was on the 2nd floor overlooking their cafe but I felt the curtains did not provide enough privacy. Breakfast was a small buffet spread and it gets busy around 8am when many people check-out, so there was a wait for a clean table. Guests bring outside food which is not appropriate, in my opinion, but it might be a local custom.

I’ve traveled to more than 10 countries and this is the far best hotel I have ever stayed. Every details are well taken care of. From hotel pick-up and drop-off, spacious hotel room with smart system, high quality toiletries, room services, delicious meals and best of all- the view in tranquil environment.
