"A conveniently located hotel right next to the JR station. Rooms are clean, plenty of eateries & shopping within the vicinity. The beds are hard which will work for people who prefer harder beds. It’s also a short walk to the Kokura Castle. A great base for people planning to travel to the kitakhyshu region."

"Larger In size in comparing to the city hotel. It must have been very grand back in the days, it’s older in style and the buffet breakfast selection is amazing!
Greeted by the front desk and concierge every time we passed by, you only get to see this in 4, 5 star hotel with well trained staffs nowadays.
Parking was 1500yen per day and the gym and swimming are not free, in fact it’s costly, I remember it was around 2000-3000 yen per head per section. It is more like a membership type of facilities."

"I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw from JR Kokura Station, making it incredibly convenient for travel. The area surrounding the hotel is brimming with food options, including late-night eateries, which is perfect for a midnight snack.
In addition to the food, the hotel is situated near a bustling shopping district and a shopping centre, making it easy to indulge in some retail therapy. There's also another local train station close by, which adds to the convenience.
The room itself was very clean and satisfying, providing a comfortable environment for my stay. The only minor downside was that the toilet was a bit small, but it didn't detract significantly from the overall experience.

"The clerks were all kind and ready to help. And the room was very clean and comfortable. It was good to get both a hard pillow and a soft pillow. But the room is a bit cold and there is no any heater in the room. But there is an air conditioner that makes cool air which is good for in summer."

"The hotel is close to the Kokura station, on the north side which is not as busy as the south side. The room is perfect for a solo traveller, might be tight for 2 people. My room overlooked a train track and you can see the train pass by. It's not noisy though. Lots of comic books available to borrow to your room (register at receptionist) for when the weather is bad. And free breakfast and dinner with rice, curry, tea, coffee and juice. Staff spoke little English but they have printed information available in English to explain the facilities, rules and how things work."

"It was my first time using a kiosk for check-in, so I was a little confused, but I was able to resolve it without any problems with the help of the friendly staff. I was also very satisfied with the breakfast service. However, when I arrived in the evening, I thought it would have been better if there had been a hotel name light above the main entrance."

GGuest UserI stayed with my child, but the semi-double bed was comfortable and the illuminated Iwato Bridge was visible from the room up close, which was very beautiful. There was also a large public bath, so we could relax and it was great value for money. I would like to use it again.

헤헤수스Perfect if you have an early flight in the morning. The hotel is just 5-8 min walking from the airport. The staff was very polite and really helfull, they speak japanese, english and korean. For breakfast you get different options of rice; bread, fish, etc. If you don't want to eat in the dinning area, you can bring the food to your room. Also, you can always walk to the airport and get food and drinks at the convenience store. Keep in mind there is nothing besides the airport and the hotel, so don't expect much. This is perfect to rest before or after a flight.

헤헤헤헤헿I stayed alone, and it was right in front of Kokura Station, so the location was really great. As is typical of Japanese hotels, the rooms are small, and the bathroom was especially small. There was no problem when I used it alone, and it was great because it had TV and YouTube. I want to go there again next time I visit Kitakyushu.

MMr Adam PorterWe were visiting to watch the rugby at the Mikuni World Stadium and wanted somewhere to stay near by. This place was an absolute gem, incredible room, huge jet bath with TV, breakfast served in bed and the best part was the view from the balcony included the Mikuni World Stadium. Staff were amazing, they didn’t speak English but were very quick to assist and help. They received post for me before my arrival which they gave to me as soon as I arrived, there was a private lounge area to rest and refresh when we arrived too early to check in. I would certainly revisit, especially if you’re headed to the stadium. I wish I’d taken more photos of the amazing room!

GGuest UserThough location is a little far but the free shuttle bus to and fro Orio station made is super convenient for an onsen retreat. There's a direct bus from Kitakyushu Airport to Orio station too, which makes it even better. Thankfully, the staff kindly took note of the shuttle reservation request made during booking, otherwise, it would have been very inconvenient to contact them and expensive to get to the resort by other means. They left a note to check the official website for pick-up point but there was no specific information - something that can be improved. The location was found to be BEHIND Maxvalue Shop (see first few photos). The resort is visited by mainly locals so it was helpful to see and ask them for confirmation.
Facilities might a bit old but generally clean so it was okay. The room is nice and comfortable, particularly the view. It was very nice to see the hotel using reusable wares with even a refillable jug to get water from a machine at the shared space. Both sides of the natural onsen is switched between male and female everyday. Supper tantan noodles is great! Breakfast is not bad with both fusion western style and traditional Japanese options. It was a very nice and relaxing time!

Even though theres a no smoking rule all over te hotel, we're pretty sure that the previous occupant of the room was a smoker...!!! Small room, but hey, we're on holidays so not spending time in the room other than for sleeping!

귀귀동The space in the Sugao Room is much larger than expected, so much so that at least four people can stay there. There are two of us, so when we went to pee at night, I was scared to death. The inside is clean except for some dead bugs inside the bulb. For reference, there is also Dyson. However, most other ryokans have luggage moving services, but here you have to move your luggage yourself, and it is expensive for a ryokan without hot springs. Still, the garden view is more beautiful than expected! The photos come out well too. The garden here is prettier than Kokura Garden.

GGuest UserThe hotel itself is a little old, but I had a comfortable stay. There was a large public bath, but it was small, so it could get crowded depending on the time. On the day, they served udon noodles for free. I was very happy. It was warm and delicious, and it warmed my body. I was also happy that the staff spoke to me kindly.

みみやさん。みんなが自分のことをみやさんと呼んでくれた。The rooms are a little old, but they are well-cleaned and have good security. One of the hotel's special features is that you can get free rice balls in the dining room until 9am. The woman at the front desk is very friendly and polite. It's a very warm place.
