The cheapest and most disappointing breakfast at a hotel for 214 Euros a night! A couple of slices of cheese, a couple of cold cuts, basic coffee from a thermos, stale bread (just a few rolls), there’s still room to cut back on hospitality and make a profit, although the reputation may soon spread. Also, the see-through door in the bathroom is really wild in a room for at least four people in it!

Wonderful!!
We have stayed in a lot of hotels, over the last 50 years. This is by far the best one we have ever stayed in. There has only been one other that we have given almost top marks to, but this one excelled. The place was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff were wonderful. They went far and beyond, what you would normally expect. They were so helpful and answered every question we had, even to writing instructions, for the bus and trams. It really felt like a home from home, but without having to do anything. The TV could be better situated, so that you can watch it from the sofa, is my only suggestion.

Durch pures Glück haben wir dieses Lokal entdeckt, dessen Betreiber Anfang 2025 gewechselt hat. Seitdem gibt es sowohl „deutsche“ Klassiker als auch richtig gutes asiatisches Essen. Der Betreiber selbst meinte auf Nachfrage „so etwas“ gäbe es schließlich sonst in der Gegend nicht. Jetzt schon! Wir mögen die Szechuan-Gerichte besonders gern und kommen auch nach dem dritten Mal sicher wieder!

Nach einer Führung durch die Abtei waren wir zum Essen im Mathildenhof und wurden dort freudlich empfangen. Die reservierten Tische für ca. 30 Personen waren einfach, aber gut eingedeckt. Die Speisen, teils mit "asiat touch", waren frisch zubereitet, schön angerichtet, heiss serviert und haben echt lecker geschmeckt. Die Portionsgrösse reichlich in einem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir sind alle zufrieden nach Hause gefahren und sollten wir noch mal nach Brauweiler kommen, wäre der Mathildenhof für uns die 1. Restaurant-Adresse! PS.: Ach ja, auch die Toiletten waren blitzsauber und geruchlos.

Wir waren heute mit Groupon zum 3Gänge Menü angereist. Bedienung war sehr nett.Nach 45 Min haben wir zum ersten Mal nach unserer Vorspeise gefragt....eine Suppe und ein Salat.Die Suppe war so laff das wir Salz brauchten um überhaupt was zu schmecken. Salat war okay .Nach weiteren 45 Min kam der Hauptgang .Gänsebrust schwabbelig nicht kross.Lamm okay..beides die gleiche Soße.Gratin verbrannt.Rotkohl und Gemüse lauwarm. Verkehrte Beilagen. Habe um ein Gespräch mit dem Koch gebeten.30Min gewartet.Leider hatte keiner Interesse daran.Schade fürs Geld

Leckeres Essen und gutes Ambiente. Ein Restaurant wie man es sich wünscht. Kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen. So sollte ein Service und Küche, sein. Für ortsansässige ist der Ort ein Gewinn. Ich werde definitiv wieder kommen und nicht das letzte Mal. :)
