Hotel is in a fabulous position and has recently undergone refurbishment in the main areas. Bedrooms and bathrooms are older in style. Supper menu is great in main restaurant but you do have to book. Mornings the same - need to book but breakfast range is limited and same every day.

Just spent five nights at this incredible hotel as a solo traveller. It far surpassed my expectations. The location is superb. The moment I arrived, a porter was on hand to assist with my luggage. Same on departure. Reception staff at the hotel and in-house spa couldn't do any more to make me feel welcome. The same applied to housekeeping and restaurant teams. Always friendly and made me feel like a valued customer rather than just a number. One woman seeing me sat outside on a deck chair, even offered to fetch me a blanket. It can be breezy outside as located on the cliff. I normally spend little time at hotels I am staying at preferring to be out and about but this past week I found there was no need to venture far as this hotel has everything I required for a relaxing holiday. My single room had a balcony overlooking the fabulous view, but the restaurant and bar areas all look out over Saunton beach. Seating areas outside are plentiful, clean and tidy. I made use of the spa which has a relaxation area up on the roof following treatment sessions. There's also a jacuzzi again making use of the view. There are other activities available. I needed a relaxing break and this hotel delivered at every level. Even fellow guests were friendly, a sign people were enjoying themselves. Thank you to all team members for a wonderful stay.

If you haven’t already visited the Saunton Sands Hotel then use this review as motivation. Perched high up overlooking Saunton sands and the Braunton burrows it has unrivalled views. Whether you are a family with kid’s or a couple looking for a long weekend break this is definitely a must stay at some point in your holiday planning schedule in the future.

You would find it hard to beat the location, but the overall quality of the service and dining only makes the stay even more enjoyable.We can’t wait to go back.

We are currently staying at this wonderful hotel and so impressed with the facilities, the food and especially the staff. From our arrival when the receptionist made an extra effort to satisfy our request to every member of staff since, they are a credit to the hotel. I believe that guests staying at the hotel will appreciate the extra effort that must go in to taking on good people to represent your fabulous hotel.

We arrived to a friendly welcome and our cases were taken to our room which was spotlessly clean. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Excellent table service in the bar. We then went for dinner and the menu was fantastic. The food was of a very high quality and well presented.

A beautiful setting with everything you could possibly need.
Comfortable beds, friendly staff, clean room with good amenities. I also had a stunning beach view.
Nothing was too much trouble. They even catered for my Gluten sensitivity. The food at Breakfast and dinner was absolutely delicious.
My massage was heavenly also.
The only think I didn’t like was the fact I had to leave such a wonderful place!

Awful customer service! Stayed in the hotel and received a £170 fine for parking in the carpark from the external company that runs the carpark. No one in the hotel told me I needed to register my car when I arrived, and despite asking for help with the parking company, the hotel refused to help at all. Would highly recommend not staying as they will not assist guests, terrible service!
