We arrived to the cottage gardens looking lovely and the sound of trickling water in the little stream. Fiona was there to greet us and welcome us in to the delightful accommodation. Fresh bread on the side and thoughtful extras like milk, butter and marmalade gave us a yummy snack on arrival. Really comfortable king sized bed and a great night's sleep - haven’t slept so late in years! The cottage was immaculate, tastefully done and had everything we needed for our weekend. Plenty of storage for clothes. The village is a chocolate box dream. Didn't use the outside as we had a busy itinerary but there is a lovely space to sit out. The local pub serves great food and is very welcoming too. Highly recommend.

This was our fourth stay at Gable Cottage and as usual we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The location is perfect offering easy access to Rutland Water and other attractions. Welcoming host who always ensures we have a great stay.

This lovely, quirky cottage was warm and cosy. The host was friendly and very helpful. The cottage was clean and well equipped. Good internet coverage. Breakfast pack was excellent and welcome Would return and recommend.

Just had a lovely stay at Gable Cottage warm and cosy on a chilly February weekend. A lovely peaceful area and a great pub 5 minutes walk from the cottage. Very comfortable beds and the cottage was lovely and clean with everything you need. Breakfast selection includes a lovely homemade loaf which is great toasted. We will be back again.

Last week we had a four night stay at Gable Cottage. It was everything and more than we thought it would be. Wonderful helpful hosts very clean and comfortable accommodation. Set in lovely surroundings If we are even around there again we will definitely stay again And we would recommend it to friends. Pat and Jimmy

We had a lovely weekend at Gable Cottage. A warm welcome from Fiona and the cottage was very clean, comfortable, warm and cosy on a cold windy weekend in February. Lovely self catering breakfast with fresh homemade loaf, fresh orange juice and selection of cereals. We will return.
