I stayed two nights in February, the hostel was clean, spacious, light and quite cozy. The hostel feels little bit like a huge flat with many rooms, it has nice and calm/chill atmosphere, I felt there like at home, which I really appreciated. In the big ”living room” there two big tables with chairs (perfect for playing board games), sofa with armchairs and bookshelf with armchair in the corner. In the living room there is always tea/coffee to make, that's very pleasant. There is also a small kitchen, suitable for cooking. Toilets and bathroom were clean and ok. I liked the bed, it was comfortable and didn't make any noise when moving. Rooms are very very spacious. I would like to thank once again to the host, Rado, who was so kind and sent me by a post (for free!) things I forgot in the hostel:)) Next time in Bratislava I'm definitely choosing this hostel again.

This is a serviced apartment very close to the city centre in Bratislava, and it was very reasonably priced. Please note it is not close to the train station (it's about half an hour walk if you want to try) but it's only a short hop away by tram. As it is quite close to the city centre, you can either go there for food or there are lots of restaurants nearby and some of them are quite good as well.
The room was big, clean and bright. It has one big window, (mine was away from the street so it looks out to the back but the next building is still quite far away so there is still plenty of sunlight coming through). There is a kitchen and utensils (including a kettle if you want to make coffee or tea). The building has laundry machines that guests can use (I didn't need to use it but I think you do need to pay). The staff speaks very good English and friendly so they can be quite helpful if you have any questions. I didn't need to ask any as my stay here was faultless really. It would definitely be on my one of the choices of place to stay when I'm next in Bratislava.
There are some things to note though. You probably won't be able to check in until after 2pm. I arrive early and had to wait for my room to be ready. They do have a luggage storage service free of charge though. I can't remember whether they have daily cleaning but I think they don't have daily cleaning from memory which is fine. I'm not a messy person by nature and I'm not that obsessed with hygiene so it wasn't an issue for me.

Visiting Bratislava for first time. Wedding anniversary so asked if any chance by email of an upgrade. Generously gave us an upgrade to a suite. Mrs T mightily impressed with the room and facilities. Staff all friendly. Breakfast brilliant with lots of choice. Interestingly bread and butter pudding which we think used yesterday croissants and pain a chocs. Absolutely delicious. Had a small issue with the bath tap. Reported and fixed while at breakfast. Fab service. Location very central with bus and tram stops nearby and can walk to old town in 10 mins. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

The location is great, in the old town area, but not at the centre spot, which gives it a slightly calmer vibe.
The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean, and I like that there is no carpet in the room.
The bathtub had consistently hot water, it was nice.
Breakfast was okay, with basic selections for this price range of hotel.
The car park has a residence rate for overnight parking, but it doesn't show anywhere; you need to ask the front desk.

The Loft go above & beyond!!! We booked the loft Pre Covid and was due to stay during Covid, we arranged an amendment on the date but still couldn't go due to travel restrictions. I automatically thought we had lost our money, as we had on another hotel we had booked elsewhere. Once restrictions were lifted, The loft contacted us to see if we wanted to arrange a new date, which we did, we then decided to take our son so they amended our booking to a larger room for an additional fee. Our in laws booked a room and as it was a birthday I emailed them & they arranged a table booking and a bottle of wine in the room for my mother in law. The rooms were cosy, warm, very clean & comfortable with nice shampoo, hairdryer, drink facilities & free mini bar stocked with beer, pepsi & water. Our flights were cancelled and the reception staff were more than helpful in letting us check out later & assisting us with train info. We really could not have asked for more. The food & beers were nice in the restaurant and plenty to choose from for breakfast. 10 min walk into the old town and easy reach from the train station. Bus 61 from the airport which was about €1.45 the ticket machine is at the bus stop. We got the train to Vienna which was €14 (Just make sure when you return, you go back to the correct Bratislava train station we got a bit lost from the other near the river as just bridges & highways to walk back) Fantastic hotel & would highly reccommend!!

The hotel is of a good standard and very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms/apartments were a good size and nicely furnished. The only, but, is that we are 3 ladies over 60. Not only was the walk uphill from the old town quite a challenge, but the hotel car park is a cobbled slope and the entrance to the reception is via 2 sets of stairs one without a handrail. Distance to the old town was not a problem, but the slope getting back was a chore especially in the heat. Definitely don't want to take anything away from how good the hotel is, but think older people or people with mobility issues need to know

My boyfriend & I stayed here for 2 nights during our inter-railing trip. Upon arrival we were given 2 drink vouchers to enjoy at the bar which was very generous. Furthermore, the staff at reception went above and beyond for us. When we got to the next city as part of our trip I realised I had left something in the hotel which was of sentimental value to me. I emailed the hotel & Maros replied within 24 hours to let me know that they could post my item home that I had left behind. The kindness & willingness of the staff to provide this level of customer service was something I was very grateful for & something that has been somewhat lost to an extent in this modern age. Not only this, the hotel itself is lovely & the rooms are extremely spacious which suited us as we had a lot of luggage. Would definitely recommend a stay here whilst in Bratislava!

Rude and unfriendly service at check in. The hotel was fine in every other respect but having worked in tourism for over 40 years I can honestly say this was the rudest service I have ever experienced. The hotel didn’t have our reservation when we arrived but we showed the man who came out of the kitchen our papers. He couldn’t have cared less. Disappeared off. Came back with his lunch. When we pointed at our luggage to indicate the tour operator knew we were supposed to be there he replied ‘that’s nice’ in the most sarcastic way. When we asked where to put our bikes he marched outside and pointed down the street. It could have been in the Roman museum for all I could tell. This man is no doubt the Basil Fawlty of the Austrian hotel industry. But not in a good way!

Best hotel in centre of Bratislava. We were very pleased with the location of this hotel since it's literally behind presidential palace (what I believe is heart of the city). Historical part is 5-7 mins. walk, train station is 2 bus stops from presidential palace and to go to walk alongside the Danube river it was beautiful. There are many restaurants in city centre and right next to the hotel is a small grocery shop. Hotel is very modern and new, the staff was very nice and helped us when we needed. Girl on reception knew also russian/ukrainian which was nice to see. Hotel as well as room themselves were very clean and everything is proveded. They even have washing machine, dishwasher and kitchen in apartments! It was very convinient for us! We are looking forward to come back on our visit of Bratislava! Thank you Metropolitan Star hotel!

RRiznychokThe location of the hotel is good. The room is clean and has everything I needed. The service is also good. But there were problems with hot water in one room. So I asked an employee named Alicia to help me solve this issue or change the room. But Alicia began to be rude and said that the water was not so cold and I could take a shower. But the water temperature was really cold. I was surprised. As a result, our number was changed, but only after conflict.

The room is very tiny, but its really stylish and very cosy. I really love the design of the room and bathroom too. It was very clean. And I looooved that you could pick from 3 different variations of pillows. Actually the whole hotel has pretty great design and ”coming home” feeling. Haven seen hotels pool and sauna but its definitely big plus point. The location isn't perfect, but its quite ok, by walk 15-20min you can reach pretty much everything important. And now to the things I didn't like - I must say staff - from four and half star hotel I would really expect more. Girl who was working at night shift was sweet and helpful, but young man who was there the rest of my stay behaved almost pissed that I came to their hotel, wasn't very helpful, never smiled...I was very shocked. I know that not every day is a good day, but if you work with people in almost 5 star hotel, you just need to have certain way of behaviour. The internet didn't work at all, which I think its absolutely inadmissible in 4 and half star hotel. The IC didn't work either, the switcher was broken. The worst of all was that the main door to the room is paper thin and you can hear people breath on the hall or even in the next room. When I stayed there some other guest had party on the hall and later on in their rooms until 4am and its was absolutely NOT OK for such an exclusive hotel! So even there was nice bed, mattress, bed sheets....the sleeping quality was almost zero! I would highly recommend to change the main doors to the room to a soundproof ones.

4-16-2022 This is a nice hotel nestled in the neighborhood of Bratislava on the hill. My room had a Garden which was beautiful. The views of the local neighborhood and the Bratislava Castle sitting on the hill was a night sight in the evening and especially in the morning. The property and the neighborhood was very quite. So you will rest well. Bratislava central station is only a mile away. The slavin monument is up the hill a half a mile away. Old town is short walk down the hill as well. The room was very clean and cozy. I would stay their again.

GGuest UserI couldn't fault the staff and ease of check in/out. All very pleasant saying hello or goodbye every time we passed. I loved the location as it was less than 10 minutes walk to the old town. A minute walk to Blue Church and very close to some good restaurants and the Nivy bus station, a 15 minute walk. It's about half an hour walk from the train station. ( Bus 61 from airport to train station €1.20 each for a 30 minute ticket. Journey takes approx 20 minutes. Buy tickets from yellow ticket machine at bus stop and validate the ticket when you get on the bus) We had some great daytrips on Flixbus to Vienna and Brno. So very conveniently located It was also good value for money. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel but you could pay around €11.60 each They did have a fridge near reception with drinks and snacks. I was happy with the location of the room as it is described as an internal room. It was relativity quiet. No street noise. Maybe the odd noisy resident but they are on holiday. Not a problem at all. It does look like the hotel owners are slowly trying to modernise the place as the private bathroom / toilet was clean and the shower was adequate with plenty of hot water and modern flooring there was a hairdryer, soap and towels. ROOM 101 The room had a TV with local tv channels. There was an option for Netflix which we came across by accident so if you have an account you might be able to watch Netflix. We didn't bother. There was a kettle with cups, glasses and a couple of sachets of coffee./ green tea. A unit with hangers (not really a wardrobe) but it was OK and a chest of drawers in the hallway against a locked door. I do like a fridge which was clean and a bonus as I wasn't expecting the room to have a fridge. The main bedroom itself seemed large enough until you tried to get into the double bed ( two singles pushed together) Old tired divans. This room might be better as a twin room with two single beds against the wall, left side /radiator, the other, with one bedside cabinet in the middle of the two beds with one lamp. This would give enough room to get in and out of each bed more comfortably. The absolute worst thing was the carpet! It is old and filthy with threads exposed. It needs ripping up and nice flooring laid, similar to that in the bathroom would be lovely. It was filthy behind the fridge, the edges under the radiator and worst of all was under the bed! I've never seen so much dust/ filth in a hotel room before. Maybe because there just isn't enough room down the right hand side of the bed to clean properly! It's inaccessible! The pillows and quilts were also stained but I only saw this when I took the covers off just to help the cleaners before we checked out. I know they say you get what you pay for but I've slept in cleaner youth hostels I have still given it 4 stars because of all the other good points. Staff /location. GGuest UserGreat hotel, bathroom, beds, breakfast. Couldn’t be better! Lady at front desk was welcoming and showed us around. Rooms had tv in them as well which was a nice amenity. Would defintely consoder staying here again.

GGuest UserStaff sent very good instructions on how to get to the property from the station which was appreciated. Short walk from the bus. Staff friendly and welcoming, we did have a few issues with the room booking but it was resolved. They take 10 euro deposit in cash which was returned easily on check-out. Room was clean and bathroom too, had everything we needed but was very very hot (only 1 fan). A free drink voucher was a nice touch and the bar was cheap and sociable. Easy walk into the main town for tours etc the next day. Stored bags for us, kitchen looked good although we didn't use it. Very close to a large Tesco store for groceries/snacks.
