The Westin Reserva Conchal, an All-Inclusive Golf Resort & Spa

My family stayed at the Westin for a week and found the services excellent, people friendly and rooms were clean . We really enjoyed the perks of being in the Club level and the extra amenities that came with it. Our favorite was having breakfast in the Mediterranean restaurant outside by the pool, the food was delicious and the staff was top notch! We had fun using the complimentary bicycles to tour the property on our own while dodging iguanas and monkeys on the paths! On the beach we found very friendly merchants for all kinds of activities. We used Erik G (he has a Google blue shirt- find him on Google!). He helped us plan a really fun excursion to La Leona Waterfall- it included a private van, a guide who spoke English, and a great lunch. He was a great coordinator for planning our day away from the resort, our only regret was not having more time to plan more excursions with him!! The resort is so beautiful and spread out- and there were plenty of golf carts to drive you anywhere you needed if you didn’t feel like walking. It was a magical time for our family and we look forward to going back again one day!

Had a great experience at the Westin. After 4 very adventurous nights in the jungle, we took the drive to the Westin which proved to be beautiful, relaxing and really, really, nice! We got 2 rooms with our college aged adult kids in the Westin Club section. I have nothing against younger kids as I raised my own, but if you want a tranquil, relaxing vacation and you don't have kids, I highly recommending spending a few more dollars for Club section rooms! The pool was tranquil and beautiful, the swim up bar and daily grill hit the spot. The main pool was lively and fun and had lots of stuff going on for the kids if you have kids or prefer that. The hotel grounds are immaculate! I especially want to shout out to our main concierge Estefany Silva who reached out to us before our arrival, and went on to address all of our wants and needs. She was great and ensured the details worked out for us. From making sure our multiple rooms were next to each other, to details on timing restaurants, Estefany hit it all! SHe's extremely pleasant as well. Our building concierge Jeffrey was great as well. Special thanks to them both! Overall the staff at the Western is very well trained and mostly excellent. The rooms were modern and clean, the minibar well stocked, loved the nightly happy hour in the Club lounge. As for restaurants, our experience was mostly very good, but there was a definite difference in quality between the restaurants. Far and away our favorite restaurant was Faisenella. Actually, the steak at Faisenella was MUCH better than the steaks in the steakhouse. Overall the steakhouse was our least favorite which we rated as average, (not bad, just not great,) and it was the only restaurant we had to wait for (it was fine, we just went to he bar near the buffet until our buzzer went off), BUT...the horchata at the steakhouse was the most delicious drink I ever drank in my life! The Italian restaurant was good as was the buffet. Only weird thing is it seems in some restaurants they need to leave to get coffee drinks. If you want coffee, order it way before you will want to drink it! Oh and the coffee all around Costa rica really was the best we've had, surpassing Hawaii! The beach is beautiful but the second you cross the stone wall onto the beach you are in a public place, and expect to be bombarded with people selling everything from massages to jet skis, to bracelets (seriously, if you scream at us that you give the best massages, it probably does not lead to a relaxing experience!) That being said my wife and daughter did get a massage on the beach with people highly reviewed previously (kudos to Kelly and Jose!) Only of the people on the beach I did not appreciate were the jet-ski guys, who when they did not have customers decided to chase each other around the water on jet skis close to the beach where other guests were kayaking and paddle-boarding. It is one thing if people rent jet skis and take them out. it is another if the jet ski vendors

We just returned from the Westin Reserva Conchal and I can confidently say I have zero complaints — the property completely met (and even exceeded) my expectations. We stayed in a Family Junior Suite (room 024), which turned out to be a perfect location: just two villas away from the family pool, and a short, easy walk to most of the restaurants and the beach. The resort is very accessible — I have some mobility issues, but I had no trouble getting around thanks to the thoughtful layout and the constant availability of friendly shuttle drivers. The staff were outstanding: always warm, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. We especially enjoyed Mitra Market for lunch and casual dinners, and Cauri quickly became our favorite spot for dinner. Going around 5:30 allowed us to enjoy a breathtaking sunset view, and we loved the small-plate menu because it gave us the chance to try a wide variety of dishes without feeling wasteful. Outside of dining, we had incredible massages right on the beach at the green tent — highly recommend! We also tried the pineapple drinks sold by local vendors on the beach, and they were both delicious and reasonably priced. The resort itself offered so much to do that we never would have been bored, even if we had chosen not to leave for excursions. That said, we did use Fayla Tours for both our transportation and an excursion, and they were fantastic — reliable, professional, and made everything easy. Another highlight was how family-friendly the resort felt. We met so many other wonderful families during our stay, and it was easy for my son to make friends with other kids, which made the trip even more special. Overall, everything about this resort — from the food to the atmosphere to the staff — was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend the Westin Reserva Conchal and can’t wait to return someday.

Westin Conchal--beautiful, lush grounds that felt like you were glamping in the rainforest. The perfectly maintained grounds and massive trees were spectacular! Food & Drink--We didn't find the food to be memorable. The best options were Costan Rican foods and the Westin Club restaurant called Faisenella was perfect for breakfast! We also loved Cauri for tapas appetizers, but the larger sized dinner options were too much food for one meal. The drinks however were perfect! The bartenders were ready to make you specialized, fun drinks and I always appreciated the copper cups for a Moscow Mule drink. Bryan in the lobby bar and Andres at the Westin Club pool bar were kind, friendly, and fun! Overall, eat less and drink more. :) Service--Top notch! The staff was attentive, kind, hardworking, and always ready to help. Our room was cleaned twice a day and the concierge remembered you by name every day! Kenny and Nelson in Westin Club Tower 2 were attentive and so kind. The ladies that cleaned our room were hardworking and left fun towel designs each day. We loved their creativity! Room--Absolutely perfect! The Westin Club king suite gave us extra space (2 bathrooms--so nice!), a huge shower, a double sized balcony, and a living room with a kitchen table (great for ordering room service). The bed was extremely comfortable, and our towels were replaced twice a day. Pool--The Westin Club private pool was exactly what we were looking for. It felt private, relaxing, and peaceful. The main pool seemed overly busy and packed with kids. We were thankful to have the option to avoid that area. Beach--Beautiful grounds, but the beach is public. It isn't as maintained/cleaned as we have experienced in other countries but felt very local and relaxing. People would approach you to buy items, but they wouldn't push too much. It also felt very safe! Golf--We golfed 18 holes in the afternoon one day (a little cheaper after 1:00, about $300 for two with rented clubs and cart) and had a blast! Very nice grounds, top-notch golf carts, and amazing views! A highlight of our trip. If you love to golf, don't miss this opportunity. Excursions--We booked one 10-hour excursion through Amstar that took us to the Buena Vista reserve. We went ziplining, walked across many hanging bridges, rode horses, ate a delicious Costa Rican lunch, went down a mountainside waterslide, and ended with hot springs. I would highly recommend it, but do know that it was a 2+ hour drive each way. Overall--We fell in love with Costa Rica! The people are kind, it felt safe, and the landscape was magical. We would highly recommend this resort!

We had a great time!! We booked our excursion through Erik Garcia ( google shirt in blue ) by the beach. He is excellent. The experience was amazing! Victor morales was great at restaurant Cauri. Restaurants are all good. Go early to avoid long lines. Shuttle service to take you around since the property is huge. Oscar at the golf course was excellent. We did few lessons with him. It was a great experience !

So amazing! This was the best graduation trip ever!! This hotel was amazing, especially all of the staff. KENDOLY was the best! We all loved her! 100000/10 recommend. We will be coming back!
