Friendly hotel. Staff very helpful. Beautiful location . Great garden area to sit out in. Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent food. Comfortable clean bedroom. Would recommend.

We arrived at the hotel and we were treated like old friends as we were there last year. Everyone was friendly and efficient, but I would like to pick out 3 people who were especially friendly and helpful. They were Adam, the manager, Haley, housekeeping, and Jalena, who was so everywhere.

When we walked in the 2 young girls were very welcoming. We were going to stay for lunch, but the group of "managerial type people" standing huddle at the side of the bar was a bit off putting. So left after our drinks. The decor of the place and the views were great, but just didn't feel very friendly

This hotel has to genuinely be one of the best I've ever stayed at.Every single staff member was absolutely amazing.The best customer service I've ever received from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.Huge shout out to the beautiful Emma and Rowan for the best dinner service and all the others ,who's names I didn't get over the last few days but deserve just as much credit. The hotel room was perfectly clean,great bed and decoration is stunning.Slept wonderfully.Bathtoom is fabulous with the best shower. The restaurant is just as spectacular with amazing food whether it's dinner or breakfast. The surroundings outside the hotel and the aesthetics are beautiful.If I ever travel up this way again, guaranteed I will be back. Thankyou for the personal touches in the room. Absolutely fantastic! Couldn't recommend any more of I tried. Thankyou for such a top tier experience.❤️

Stopped into the Riverside for Sunday Lunch on our way back from Stratford to Nottingham. The staff were friendly and attentive, but the food was quite dissapointing. We had the duo of roasts, which arrived very quickly, but was luke warm at best, suggesting that it had been out for some time, even though the pub was not very busy due to the poor weather. The only vegetables present (other than the damp roast potatoes) were a couple of cold parsnips. The venue was beautifully situated and we had hoped to visit again when it wasn't pissing it down, but if that is the usual standard of food, then we won't bother.

Went with family today as they had amazing time last time they went in April time. Once starters had come out we had to wait 30 minutes for plates to be clear then finally our mains arrived which was a let down we order the gammon and two stake pies. The gammon was dry and had been sat under the pass for a long time which made us think they forgot about it. The pies on the other hands came out looking nice and huge in size but there was maybe 1.5-2 table spoons of filling pet pie which isn't alot for the size. Another reason what made us believe they forgot about our food is there was a table who had only been sat for about 30 minutes had already had there mains and were about 1/4 away threw there before we got ours. Also I just want the mangers to know that bar staff should be asking for id for anyone looking younger 25. I had gone up to the bar to get a pint for my dad expecting to get id as I'm only 18 and I didn't this was very strange to me this can cause big problems for the place as if I was under 18 and U severed me alcohol then U would be breaking the law and risk loosing your liquor licence. Please be aware of this.

We came down for a Sunday dinner lovely view of the river and outstanding food and drinks staff were friendly and attentive and noticed when we were needing more drinks. The beer garden was immaculate with lots of seating and designated smoking areas

Came with my young son for breakfast and the food came out fast and hot and was beautiful, the head chef Richard was very welcoming and friendly and my server Natalie was very kind and friendly. The restaurant is clean and tidy and we was able to be seated within minutes.

Yes our stay was as usual very good. The staff worked hard in the bar area, the food was also of a high standard. The beds could’ve been a bit bigger in the rooms.Ash,Sean & Geo. did their job’s excellently. We would stay again, thanks Riverside
