Premier Inn Huntingdon (A1/A14)

Stayed at this hotel a few times and I’ve always found it a pleasure when I arrive jenny the manager is always upbeat and helpful and nothing is too much trouble great staying here

A good night's sleep although room was warm. Great staff, particularly Bobbie my receptionist who offered me a linen basket to carry my motorcycle gear to my room, saving me 3 trips.

OMG Jenny & Bobbie was so lovely, very welcoming !!!!!! I get home sick very easily when I’m working away but this place made me feel so homely. They even helped me out with my washing as I got in a right muddle with my work clothes, they definitely go the extra mile. Easily the Best Premier Inn I’ve stayed at. I normally change hotels just for something different while I’m working away but I’m 100% spending the next 7 weeks here now :)

Friendly Polite Staff, great service in the Bar and Restaurant. Fantastic breakfast, nice their was a fan in the room as very hot. and a nice touch that there was free parking to hotel guests, which is rare these days.

I’m a big fan of Premier Inns over a long period. The Huntingdon location is very well placed as a stopover, but starting to fray a bit and needs a tidy up, especially the nearby Harvester Restaurant. There was confusion about Parking notices that required Registration numbers being entered at Reception or Restaurant. The new Staff seemed rather baffled regarding the Parking system and this should be clarified when booking in. We forgot to enter Reg number for several hours and the Trainee Receptionist said “I think you will be ok.” When we left after two nights a Manageress said that the system had not yet been started up. Secondly, we asked for a room clean and new towels for the second night, this didn’t happen. We got new towels at Reception, we are not ‘Complainers’ but please don’t let things slip. Premier Inns is a good brand and Hotel group let’s keep the standards up not down.

A standard premier inn, just one to avoid on hot days. travelled during the hottest weekend of June, temperatures reaching 30 during the day. With windows that only open 5cm, no airflow was possible. With no airflow no cooling of the room. If only it had Aircon! My room didn't drop below 29 degrees both nights I was there. Went with friends for a wedding, all had the same issue. Most of us ended up sleeping in wet towels just to cool off. 29 degrees with no windows and just a petty little fan to cool does not work. 2 stars purely thanks to the staff and their sterling attitude and helpfulness.
