Staffs are helpful. Hotel room is clean and spacious.

Lovely location not far from Bradford-on-Avon. We had room 14 which was in the courtyard next to the swimming pool. Comfy beds and when we were shown to our room all looked good. When we returned after going out for dinner we then noticed that the toilet had not been cleaned properly since the previous occupant. The tea/coffee tray had no tea. Breakfast was lovely. We had some drinks from the bar, staff need some customer service training.

Widbrook Grange approx 2miles from Bradford on Avon on the A363, a house with character to include vintage farm machinery sited externally to enhance its part of the scenery. We stayed for two days and made a visit along the canal towpath and Bradford on Avon. Ideal for visiting Bath and surrounding areas, it also hosts wedding receptions. The bedrooms were fine and well appointed, breakfasts were generous and flexible. The only negative comment was the evening meal could have been more varied and some items on the menu were unavailable. Staff were obliging and helpful. A good two day stay

The food was excellent but the menu only changes every three months. Maintenance was very poor, with peeling paintwork and torn curtains / blinds. We had three rooms, one of which had plumbing issues, which were reported, but nothing was done until the toilet was unusable and they were moved.

Widbrook Grange was chosen by us for its online vegetarian and vegan menus, which turned out to be non existent when requested. Very limited choice for vegans or vegetarians on the main menu. The vegan dish of a French sounding spring vegetable soup was one of the most awful things I've ever had put in front of me - soggy aubergine and courgette, woody asparagus and other veg. At £22!! The glass of prosecco I ordered was completely flat. It didn't seem that there was a chef in house, never mind a competent cook. No dessert, just wanted to get out of there. Breakfast was equally disastrous - no vegan pastries or wholegrain cereals, not even vegetable spread for the toast. Horribly worn table and surroundings. The hotel itself was not without its good points - useful advice on making the phone booking with a female member of staff; pleasant check in; pretty flower arrangements; outside seating areas; good for dogs; lovely comfortable bed and very good bed linen. But oh my, the grounds were littered with tumbledown buildings and rusting farm machinery, and the room itself was crying out for less clutter. A stained tailor's dummy and the bath in the main room didn't impress. Dirty tiles in the shower room. In the dark hallway, the ceiling light shade was a cheese grater! The place cries out for investment and a revamp. Not shabby chic, just shabby. Definitely no return visit.

The staff were very pleasant , helpful and made the stay very enjoyable. The food was excellent and served with a smile ! Michaela was particularly good and knowledgeable about the local area which was a bonus ! Not far from various interesting sites Laycock and some National Trust Properties!
