4 adults and 2 children went today for a 41st wedding anniversary meal. Lovely day so we sat outside for a couple of drinks while the children played on the slides and swings. Went inside for a meal which was excellent Brilliant puband the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Will certainly be back soon.

We sometimes call to the Mustard Pot for an evening meal, and there has been no problem before This evening however was a different matter. I had a trio of vegetarian sausage and mash, all was well until I found a hair in my mash. These things happen so I didn’t make a fuss but did feed back my find, firstly to the girl clearing our plates, who muttered “sorry about that I’ll let the chef know” before she dashed off, Then again on paying when we were asked how our food was by the shift lead/manager/landlord, who again said “oh sorry about that I’ll let the chef know˚What alarmed me was the staff apparent indifference to my feedback and lack of action to redeem the situation. It’s a shame because I used to enjoy visiting the mustard pot.

Called in for a meal late Saturday afternoon, the pub was fairly busy, nice atmosphere, plenty of families dining and others with their dogs, because of the style of the pub there are many small dining areas so everyone can choose where to sit, Warm welcome from the guy behind the bar, who served our drinks, took our food order, delivered our food and came and checked if our meal was ok, 10/10 for him. Great selection of dishes on the menu and all very reasonably priced, Our food was great and arrived with minimum of wait, generous portions and "proper homecooked chips" Best pub meal we have had for a long time. Will definitely return and recommend !!

When I arrived, staff were not expecting me despite a confirmed reservation, and weren't particularly welcoming, managing to give the impression that I was too much trouble when I had to point out that they had given me the wrong key for the room and making it clear that they'd prefer me not to order breakfast before 9am. The room was a bit grubby, drinking glasses were dirty and when I opened the cupboard to put clothes away a folding bed promptly fell out on me. The en suite was cramped and awkwardly laid out with a tiny sink tucked away under a cabinet. Dinner and breakfast were actually really excellent and good value, but whilst sitting out in the beer garden (lovely views) I was harassed and assaulted by some of the bar patrons, who tried to pull my trousers off "for a joke". Not feeling very safe, I retreated to my less than comfortable room for the evening and got out as early as possible the next morning, cutting my stay short. In short; nice location, sub-par rooms but a surprisingly good kitchen, if the locals don't get you.

First time visiting and definitely our last. Staff were quite rude and ignorant, especially the blonde woman who clearly didn’t like her job. Spoke down to me when I asked a question, and looked my partner up and down when he wanted to order food instead of addressing him. Food was freezing. None of the waitresses came and checked if everything was okay. Beef was really tough. Never again, was the most depressing and unfriendliest pub I’ve ever been too. Make out their kid friendly when they didn’t even acknowledge my little. Do not recommend and wont be going again.

Friendly, efficient service, clean table, short menu of pub favourites. Food came promptly, and was tasty and in decent portions. I could do on for another seventy characters, but basically, a good busy pub full of satisfied customers, end of.

This is the perfect place for a nice, relaxed family meal. 5 adults and 2 toddlers went as a family for Mothers' day... the staff are so helpful and friendly! The food was really nice and reasonably priced too. Good, fresh, British food.. what more could you want?>

This is a lovely pub in a lovely area and is an ideal stop off after any walks. The food is delicious, freshly cooked and all the staff we encountered were friendly & welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable and it has a large car park so parking is not a problem. I would def recommend this place and i will def be back again. Thankyou for a fab stay.

Called a couple of times after reading that Motorhomes can park up in the large car park, it is on a steep hill, but didnt have any problems. The food was exceptional and staff was very courteous. Homemade products and real meat and no microwave dings, nice and hot and plenty of gravy where needed. Thank you very much.
