What a fun hotel. Huge lobby- great spaces to spread out and work or enjoy card games or relax. My room was as clean as a whistle. The bathroom is very small, but well-appointed with fluffy towels, soap and shampoo and plenty of lighting. Yes- hotel room is a bit on the dark side, but lots of lamps. The noise from the road can be loud at night so if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room in the rear of the hotel. Yes- this is an older hotel that has been retro-fitted, but, the renovation is done just right- quality finishes, linens and touches. Wi-fi was solid. I was traveling for business and the room rate was perfect. Location is right off I-90 so easy in and out for travel and close to Main Street. The restaurant was very cute and the menu was creative and nice at the end of the day after a long bit of travel. I will definitely stay again.

I had a wonderful stay at the lodge. I especially loved the nostalgic feel of the room and the attention to detail throughout. Loved the vintage brass fixture in the bathroom!! The room was very clean and the mattress very comfy. Nikki at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. We especially enjoyed the live music in the lobby area. Christina took great care of us at the Dry Fly Saloon!! Everything we ordered was delicious! Thank you for a wonderful stay!! I highly recommend Field & Stream Lodge!!

Wonderfully renovated property. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Nostalgic decor throughout. Pictures don’t do it justice. We just loved it! Quick drive to all the places we wanted to visit. Would highly recommend, and would return without hesitation whenever visiting the Bozeman area.

Great experience, loved the theme and decor, very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the on site restaurant as well (loved the thermos of coffee in the morning) we sat out around the canoe fire pits, and loved it. All said, it was a really nice stay. My only question would be, why not have complete manicured courtyard. The parts that were weedy just did not appeal to me. I get that the grasses were ‘natural’ but it just looked unkept. My one and only criticism. Hope to be back. Location was close to downtown and to the airport!

Pushed check-in back an hour, then wouldn't let us check out 30 minutes late. No housekeeping for less than 4 night stay. It's a refurbished motel so old-style layout with long walks to the lobby, loud in-room AC units, and minimal in-room amenities. No room service Pricey for what you get

I booked Field & Stream Hotel for the last night of our honeymoon, looking forward to the advertised 4-star experience after a week in a camper van. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The hotel’s Instagram claims it’s “just steps from 3 legendary rivers” and a “short drive to Yellowstone.” In reality, it’s right off the highway, across from Walmart, with no rivers in sight. Yellowstone is a full two hours away—hardly a “short drive.” To me, this felt like false advertising. While the hotel is newly opened, it’s still under construction. The website shows a pool and a beautiful courtyard, but the pool isn’t finished (which they do note online—still, the pictures should come down until it’s ready). Part of the courtyard was also a construction zone. One side looked nice with large vintage Field & Stream murals and queen-sized lounge chairs, but the other three walls looked like my old high school courtyard. My suggestion: carry those murals around the entire space. The courtyard did look more inviting at night with lanterns and corner fireplaces. For a place marketed as a “starting point for adventure,” I was surprised to find the lobby coffee unavailable until 7:00 a.m.—especially when we came down at 6:30 a.m. ready to head out. We ended up grabbing coffee at the Best Western next door, which, by the way, does have an airport shuttle (Field & Stream does not). The “4-star” room was small, with a queen bed. While the rustic décor and paint job helped, it still felt like a dressed-up Days Inn. The metal doors were simply painted over, the room was dark even with lights and windows open, and the bathroom was tiny. Another downside: the 4:00 p.m. check-in. If you have dinner plans downtown, it doesn’t leave much time to settle in. They do offer early check-in, but when we arrived, several housekeepers had called out, so our room wasn’t ready. The good: The hotel was generally clean (though there was dust on top of the headboard), the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the staff was friendly. The bartender was great, and we enjoyed the salmon dip at the bar. The gym was a pleasant surprise—equipped with a cable machine, dumbbells, a rower, a treadmill, and an elliptical. The staff was kind enough to let us use it while we were waiting for our room. Overall, the hotel has potential, but right now, it’s not a true 4-star experience. A few key improvements—accurate marketing, finishing construction, and elevating the guest experience—would make a big difference. For now, if I return to the area, I’d probably choose the Best Western next door.

What a beautiful place to stay with very comfortable mattress and pillows! The sheets and furniture were of high quality. The shower was nice with good water pressure. The towels were super soft. I should add, I personally loved the carpet and colors. The best of all was that all the staff were nice and friendly.
